I remembered this from when I was a child . Drive up to rekindle memories. But was closed 😭 curling on this ice rink with skating at weekends. Cafe / bar on premises. Non members can play. Recommend. Took my granddaughter there for the tots session ,could do with a few more toys to play with and maybe some music and lights ,as it would maybe help children with autism or special needs to interact more ,but Great to see something for there age in area ,not badly priced and 45 mins is just about right time for a play ,great cafe on site too,so you can sit back and watch kids have fun if they where older ,staff friendly and helpful .. Have been before . What a super place. Watched a curling match . All ages taking part . Lounge area upstairs with great views over rink. Dark skies area so whilst at rink go behind and look at stars. People friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Went in for lunch a bit noisy got told they was moving stuff up stairs but don't know what they was moving friendly staff clean quite a lot to choose from on the menu just a little cafe nice and helpful for getting a bit to eat Kids loved it The rink itself was okay for the price. There is nowhere to put your shoes and belongings there, though. Usually the skate hire place takes your shoes but this place doesn't. No where really to sit. Cafe was okay, but your skates aren't allowed in there. I found the staff weren't friendly either. Me and my friend started getting lessons about a year ago and have been going every Sunday morning ever since. We absolutely love it here. Everyone's very friendly and we all help each other out. It's open to anybody who fancies a go as well so it doesn't matter whether you can skate or not, all abilities are welcome. David and Stacey were olympic skaters as well so we have some of the best coaches which helps. However if you don't want lessons there is also public skating sessions available which are normally posted on their Facebook page. All ages welcome also! Excellent. The cafe is worth a visit even if you are not going curling as I was . Very menu at reasonable prices. Great staff and lovely cafe with selection of and sweets Here for a curling competition, plenty space and seats for spectators. Only issue is temperature in spectators area fluctuates between being freezing then roasting hot. Cafe downstairs has range of food. Anne and colleague was very accommodating from the start of our visit. Ensuring we had a quiet space for our children when needed and checked in ensuring everything was ok. Thanks again for a lovely visit will definitely be back 😊 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
