Came here to watch my son play rugby for his U-13 side. Both pitches were probably the worst I've seen in a long time. Bumpy under foot, full of weeds and the grass around one foot in height, unbelievable. Not been cut in weeks. Ended up getting roped into helping take 25 young people to youth beatz 2023 as part of a ongoing project to help develop young people's skills and lifes ,all I can say is I'm so glad I helped out ,the place was mobbed and set up perfectly, plenty of food and drinks stalls all around ,it was like a mini carnival hopefully going here again in 2024 thanks to all staff that makes this possible I've seen fist hand how much of a positive impact this venue makes on so many young people Great car boot there spend to much though. Fantastic venue for multiple different events. Car shows. Markets. Circus..fun fairs. Music gigs. Pretty much everything in the town runs here. Now cover from the weather but easy to get to and plenty of space. It held the motor show. Lots of interesting cars and there was some stunts on bikes to watch. The usual amenities were there. A good afternoon was had. Was here for the motor show. It was really good First time being there so wasn't sure what to expect. Was there for the Youth Beatz gig that was on the 1st & 2nd of July. Stage set up was amazing with loads of spaces on a heightened platform for wheelchair users. I was there on the Sunday for the Vengaboys. Great show for all who attended with plenty of things to do during the day, carnival, laser tag, face painting, inflatables, zip lines and so much more. They also had a food donation drive which I thought was amazing but sad at the same time that this has to be a thing. Plenty of toilets to use, both fixed & portable. Was a great show, spoke to loads of different people & the atmosphere was amazing. Would definitely go next year for this gig, can't wait! Absolutely shocking operation. Their advert says no need to book just turn up.
