Went here because I knew it was the sister restaurant to Hamiltons in Irvine expecting the food to be similar but the food here in my opinion was very average. I was out with a friend for lunch and her lunch was that bad she actually had to send it back and order something else from the menu. We both left feeling very disappointed and wished we had picked somewhere else. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant to others and I would not eat here again. My partner and I stopped in last night for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Given the price point, we expected standard pub fare, but the food exceeded our expectations. I had the chef’s special chicken with vegetables, the chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all, which is impressive considering how quickly it was served. Kudos to the kitchen for managing that so well. My partner chose the slow-cooked steak, and after trying a bite, I can confirm it was incredibly tender. For starters, mains, drinks, and coffees, the total was under £55 excellent value for the quality. Overall, a great experience, and we’d definitely return.
