This is the best chippy in all Ayrshire. The food is absolutely amazing. If you are passing through coylton or want a quality supper this is definitely the place to call in. This 'Chippy' cooks food from fresh upon order so be prepared for a 15-20 minute wait. It is well worth the wait in my opinion. Excellent chips, excellent crispy batter. What more could you ask for! Curry sauce and gravy come in good size pots, portions are always pretty good in terms of amount of chips. The Coylton has to maintain it's high standards to keep the local and far afield customers returning. I always enjoy my food from here👍👍 We were having a week break at Sundrum Castle and this chippy wss recommended to us. Well it's bang average at best. The were tiny and more batter than fish, were ok. The food left a strange aftertaste, I guess due to the oil used. I will say that the lady who served us was pleasant and jovial but the the two young girls wrapping looked bored and a bit sullen. Drive into Ayr next time Honestly the best special supper in ayr, great as well. Go usually once a week as we have a caravan at crofthead. Not had a better one in Glasgow as well. My grandchildren love the pizzas. You can always tell how good it is with the queue lol. Well this has certainly went downhill ,waited 30 mins tonight 21st March 2025 To get the smallest I've ever seen the last 2 visits to Coylton F'n chippy have been proper good authentic Scottish food. Top notch black pudding supper and crumbed fish, traditional and the finest selection of irn bru and other fat piercing beverages in the whole village. Looking forward to my next trip home! Ordered the large two n which was made fresh in front of us, lovely batter crispy and golden flakes falling apart to the touch, and the were golden n dry and piping hot. Well worth a visit and their menu has everything from pizza to macaroni chicken to steak pie and everything in-between Passing through the area with a 2 hour drive ahead of us so called for food. We both got pizzas freshly baked in the woodfired oven. We would have been happy if we had been served these in a fancy Italian restaurant they were so good. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We would definitely go back if in the area again.
