Popped in for first time and we were very disappointed. We tried the strawberry ice as there wasn't much left to choose from and it was disgusting. It was like strawberry cough medicine not freshly strawberry, it was so sour and horrible, doubt we would go back! Very nice place next to the beach. I will visit again when I'm in this area...Thanks guys Michael Simply greed. Ideal location to but you'll pay a premium. x1 can of fanta, x1 multi pack can of coke, x1 empire biscuit and x1 very small tub of ice cream. Total £8.50. Avoid. Well this is a wonderful local boozer, spit and sawdust appeal, every time we go to Ashbourne we call in. Friendly locals great staff and you can see several of the famous Shrovetide Balls hanging from the ceilings. Pop in have a pint of Bass and enjoy a proper locals pud. "I love this cafe! The is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. I highly recommend this place to all lovers. The pastries are also delicious!" Award winning ice cream. By the in Prestwick seats outside or inside. Friendly staff great product. Good prices. 1 star for food cause we got there at 3ish and hot food had stopped. 2 for the girl behind the counter and none for the manager/owner who was rude to incoming customers/tourists while she was seated at a table having her break. We left immediately after sampling a hard cake. Friendly staff, great hot and plenty of choices of ice creams, snacks and hot food. Chips by the sea are the best. On a day out to the and stopped here for lunch, food was OK but overpriced, was undrinkable, decided to get an ice and wish I hadn't bothered as the chocolate cherry small tub of 1 scoop was expensive and tasteless. Love the here but will go into the town in future to eat. It was ok is particularly expensive, but the unwritten rules related to how close you are to a beach, stipulate a more pricey, hand crafted cuppa, so, rules are rules. A colourful assortment of Ice too. Delicious ice-cream Came here for ice with the two kids. They loved theirs and I had the orange and chocolate and it was one of the nicest flavours I have ever had! Would 100% come again Just stopped for a quick coffee. It was great and the selection of ice creams is amazing. Definitely recommend this cafe. Good panini. Great ice and the little one loved the paw patrol theme The only draw of this place is its prime beachfront location - the ice is always tasteless and the isn’t very good either. Staff are generally quite unfriendly too. My autistic son went in today & politely asked for an oreo sundae which are advertised & the woman rudely said she didn't have the ingredients for it - my son's support worker pointed out that all the icecream & sauces were right in front of her & her response was - "well I haven't got any cream" & even after they explained that he wouldn't mind it without she still refused to make one for him. We will not be going back the experience really upset my son 😒 Very poor customer service. Staff not people friendly and manager very rude. We bought ice creams an hour and ten minutes before the advertised closing time and were told (shouted at)we could not sit on the chairs as they were tidying up. When I questioned this I was told it wasn't busy, they were closing, and the owner didn't pay them enough. Others already seated were told to vacate the chairs and tables which were then taken in. We passed again half an hour later and they were still busy and serving people. That "manager" should not be anywhere near the service industry. We visited 25th Nov 2025. Google showed open. But closed. Maybe update your Google account to make other peoples visist a better experience Fantastic and great service from very friendly happy staff. Hope to be back soon! Terrible food, drink and customer service. If you really want to enjoy the view there's plenty of seats along the promenade. The Owner is a real nasty piece of work, take your money elsewhere. Just been in and charged £3.50 for two cans of coke. Total rip off. i was working in prestwick so decided to try this cafe for lunch and sit in van at front. Ordered chips and curry sauce and was served a takeaway tin container with cardboard lid. When i opened in van an had a look it was basically a portion of microwaved chips stuck together in a lump of yellow sauce that had the consistency of dry mashed potato a had never seen anything so disgusting in my life and was appalled that someone one would serve something like that . I hate complaining but i very nearly went back in an threw at the owner would never eat there again 😡 Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
