This place has got a different vibe to your usual. Food delicious, cakes. well you will take ages choosing. Garden area outside is nice & getting better each time I go. Inside is local produce, vegetables, jams, along with homemade cards and gifts .. a good amount of parking but usually full which speaks for itself. The only positive is it looks lovely and welcoming. The service was Shockley bad, staff not the friendlies, never checked if everything was ok with the food which it was not. To the food, soup never came that I ordered! The staff were all to busy talking to pay attention. My toastie was soft and not even slightly toasted! The other guests I was with didn't eat there food it was that bad. Chips not cooked properly. Soup tastes off, I can't comment on that as I never received my soup!! This place was over priced and not worth it at all!! Would not recommend and will not be going back. The place was empty and I can now see why, we went at the peak of lunch time!! Beautiful country cafe and farm store. We loved the food: burrata salad and crispy chicken wrap, plus two mouthwatering cheescakes 🤤🤤🤤 Service is super friendly even with the cafe full. Worth the visit! We will come back! Second visit here and maybe the last. Overpriced lunch and staff don't seem to know what they are doing. Asked if we wanted our cups of tea with our lunch then they forgot to bring the tea at all, had to go and ask for it. Staff looked miserable and the three youngest did more talking than anything else. No atmosphere at all, very robotic like..... Great bit of lunch here. Baked potato was very nice and my partner's fish and chips looked excellent. Service was very quick. Nice little shop here as well. I don't have a sweet tooth but for what it's worth the cakes looked amazing. Only one star as there was no button to give zero star. Extremely Disappointed. Not only did the main meals come out ahead of soup we were also short of one bowl of soup. My husbands Lentil Soup was more like vegetable Soup and he commented there was no lentils. My broccoli soup was bland and tasteless and none of us could eat it. My panini was thrown together and tasteless, the fries were the worst any of us had ever tasted. My husband who never complains was disappointed on his baked potato and my daughter in law was left still feeling hungry as her sandwich was disgusting and couldn't eat it. There was a lack of service and the sub standard ingredient lets the place down. No one asked if everything was alright when if they had opened their eyes they would have clearly seen we were not happy, leaving the table with plates hardly touched. Total waste of £49. I cannot recommend The Food Hub so save your money and go elsewhere. Looking forward to a nice breakfast out we were left disappointed. Having seen the French toast with berries and cream previously we ordered this. Today’s attempt was a piddly amount of berries. For the high price I’d expect more. 15pounds for a coffee, two slices of bread, a bit of cream and 10 berries. Some work required on how to poach an egg.
