Been using these facilities for most my life, always had a wonderful time visiting here. My Grandmother also said it was a wonderful place to work. It's not the biggest place but it has always been super fun for me. I've not been in a while but practicing in this place played a small part in developing myself as a much Footballer. Loved this place. Will revisit someday. Recommended. Great place for a shower if your a contractor. 10p needed for locker It's reasonably well equipped sports centre, that has tried to keep up with the times and in doing so it's sort of succeeded but having said that it has its problems as well, there's very little on site parking and what there is isn't very well sign posted, both access points to the site are very poorly lit one of which is down some fairly slippy steps if it's wet the other leads from the nearest public carpark but again is very poorly lit. It does have on site facilities to host children's birthday parties with a really well equipped activity area with ball pool, slides, and climbing ropes but it lacks in not having a cafe only vending machines, theres no swimming pool there as that's based approx 1.5 miles away which has always seemed a little daft, but for keep fit and gym work it's perfectly adequate Reference by doctors after knee surgery, brilliant experience Cool place has great stuff for parties. Great local resource. With trampolines for kids and gym for the adults. No swimming pool that can be found elsewhere. It's a place to train I suppose. The gym is an odd shape - long and narrow. This means that bros step over the bar, in front of you, right behind you etc etc when doing anything with a barbell. The bars are utter trash, with the bearings stiff in most of them. The discs are a mish-mash of brands and there's no order to them, with most strewn about the gym. There's also only a handful of full-sized discs. There's mirrors everywhere, and no way of squatting facing the other way if that's your preference. However, they've got a few decent machines. The leg press is great! And they've got the usual bro-specific stuff if you're hitting up some hypertrophy stuff. Weirdly, they have a decline bench but no incline bench. It's quite steep for drop-in sessions, however this seems to be the norm across the UK. Needs to reopen squash courts! Can't call it a sports centre,l! Table tennis and Badminton are the only sports you can play there! Pro’s - Good range of equipment spread across two areas - Variety of classes Con’s - Poor opening times, closing at 5pm on a Saturday is not really acceptable. - Quite slow to repair damaged equipment - Facility overall is dated and needs a major renovation. Excelent facility Excellent staff very welcoming especially Diane ! 5star Personal preference but poor atmosphere and overall gym if you want to take your training seriously. A small selection of somewhat decent equipment in the gym (ie a few hammer strength machines). No calf machine or lying leg curl. Not a fan of the 20 day window to cancel your membership. Went for 2 week and decided to cancel, now need to go for another month to get my moneys worth. Signed up for a class one time but cancelled only way there because I wasn’t going to make it for traffic and was charged £3🤣 when I went to a proper gym in Workington (Empire Gym) I wasn’t charged. They are just trying to get as much money out of you as possible. Much better gyms, value for money wise at a similar or cheaper price with better opening times Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
