Smashing little pub in the middle of nowhere really. Booked a table for 6.30pm and also glad I did as its a busy place for evening meals. Cannot fault the friendliness and helpful attitude of the staff. A range of gluten free options for those that need them as well as reasonably extensive menu including the daily specials board. The food was really - sorry no photos of any of it (too intent on savouring the ginger infused lamb chump served with sautè potatoes - full of flavour and cooked very well. Dogs are allowed - they've even got their own dog dinner menu! Plenty of seating outside too in a nice courtyard. One word of caution - go easy driving down the lanes to get there & back ... slow & steady & all's well. My partner visited with a hen party, it is off piste down some very narrow lanes/roads in the middle of Philleigh village. The food was very for a classic pub menu. Absolutely incredible food. Had the Game Stew, quite literally the best stew I have ever eaten. Rest of my group had Sunday roasts, had a taste of them all and they were brilliant (the gravy is standout). Only issue I had was the waitor kept forgetting to bring us cutlery, we had to ask him twice because he forgot the first time. Even the table next to us were waiting for cutlery. Lovely pub. food, nice setting,staff friendly. Definately would visit again! What a gem! The fish was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the burger was just as good. Great selection of beers, wines, and spirits. One of the few places we enjoyed so much, we came back twice during our trip to Cornwall. Lovely little pub in Philieh, almost in the middle of nowhere not far from King Harry ferry. Gorgeous roaring fire! The owners are behind the bar & their partners are in the kitchen! They ticked every box! We spend and have spent, many happy evenings here, the food is always excellent and great service with a smile… Absolutly superb! The Roseland inn is a fabulous country pub with a lovely atmosphere. Very and welcoming staff, even though when we arrived it was already very busy. Fantastic home cooked food, and great selection of real ales and drinks. Couldn't have asked for more.... Perfect pub, tucked away in a beautiful village! Dogs were welcomed, food was outstanding, service with a smile and atmosphere, traditional pub feel with locals and holidaymakers. Would definitely recommend! Staff were very attentive and friendly. A variety of food to choose from. Food tasted very good, especially the vegan risotto. Great to have some better veg/vegan options on the menu!
