Went for the £5.95 roast buffet. Good food, excellent value, staff. Looking forward to returning. Definitely recommend. Great food, staff and owners, very reasonably priced. Loved one of the staffs VW Camper 👍😁 We found this pub in 2023 and whilst we were here on holiday, we wanted to give it another go. It didn't disappoint. The staff were and welcoming. Good variety of meals to choose from. My husband had the Pepperoni Pizza with a side of fries and I had the BBQ chicken with salad (instead of chips and peas). We both enjoyed our meals, which were very tasty, nice and hot and a good portion size. Whilst lovely, the pizza was a little short on the topping. We are heading back there again this week. Been back in for more dinner and lunch too! Nice and quiet friday lunchtime. they have a lunch menu in addition to the main menu of ciabattas, jacket potatoes and sides. I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Queen’s Head in St Stephen, Cornwall, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. The roast dinner was an absolute standout—perfectly cooked meat, tender and flavorful, paired with golden, crispy roast potatoes that were some of the best I’ve ever had. The homemade Yorkshire puddings were a delight, light and fluffy, and the generous helping of rich gravy tied it all together beautifully. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the food here, making it a proper Sunday treat. The atmosphere in the pub is just as impressive. It’s a charming, cozy spot with a warm, welcoming vibe—think crackling woodburners, chatter from locals, and that quintessential Cornish village charm. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, whether you’re a regular or just passing through. The beer garden and play area out back are lovely touches too, perfect for a sunny day. The staff truly elevate the whole experience. They’re incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and made to feel like valued guests. Service was spot-on—quick without feeling rushed—and they were happy to chat and offer recommendations. All in all, The Queen’s Head is a gem. The roast dinner alone is worth the visit, but the fantastic atmosphere and lovely staff make it a place I’ll be eager to return to. Highly recommend! Lovely pub food amd warm welcome. Thank you Craig and Hayley xx Stumbled across The Queens Head on a day out and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Good food, good beer, great service and a atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting again. We have followed Craig and Hayley from the Blue Anchor, and recieved the same warm welcome and tasty food that we have come to love. So warm and friendly; thank you 😍 Loved the Cornish Wrestling photos too! Hi Team, FYI, please check table 11 for 19:25 on 16th August. If I'm being honest, one of the pathetic experiences so far in the UK. The service is just ridiculous, no manners and hospitality doesn’t even exist for you guys. Our food arrived after 1.5 hours with no apologies at all. We’ve been informed prior the maximum wait is 30 - 40 minutes. Even the other tables got their food who ordered much later than us. The taste of the food was just below average. The only thing I’ve to say is a waste of time and money. I would request that higher management look into this matter and get back to us.
