It was very intimidating to go into as there was a massive queue of people waiting to go into a nightclub right next to the shop, and as i am not familiar with that area it felt unnerving. We have had meals previously from La Padella and have had no complaints, but tonight my wife had a mini done in bread crumbs with chips, whilst I had a black pudding without chips, the and was nice and hot and was fresh cooked to order, but the black pudding was not hot and was dry and the was like rubber unedible. Obviously had been cooked awhile and had been left in the hot tray. I got sausage supper out there i could count the chips, terrible portin my wife says its the worst food she has ever had also very expensive for rubbish avoid if i could give it 0/5 i would have very very bad... Probably the worst food I have had during my visit to Glenrothes, only positive was, wait, don't have one. Orderd king kebab didn't come with the all the sauces according to the menu. Should have been served on a naan bread, unsure of the nature of the bread but convinced it does not know where India is. The donner was of particular poor tasting loosely of carpet with hints of plastic. The quarter pounder burger..... Being hungry is more pleasant, looked like a micro burger with the flavour of a lamppost. were OK I thought but no one else like the chips. The haddock was gopping, avoid if you like haddock, or food in general. Waited over 2 hours for delivery. Food was cold. Pizza was Absolutely solid and unable to even be cut with Sharpe knife or cutter. Portions and cooking needs looked at in there... I Was charged for a large supper when there was 16 and Tiny fish. All n hard ... Not what I ordered or paid for. I called to be fobbed off . No offer to replace.. This was a dinner for Birthday celebrations..... Embarrassing how Awful it was !!! 😖 So Glad we have cake as a back up... 😋 The suppers are outstanding. We move soon but intend to come through once a month for our supper.... Never let's us down. 1 slice is huge so there's no need for 2... Great food and well done to this family/staff. Always friendly xxxxx Can't believe there's bad reviews. Iv only once been bit dissapounted in the in many years. The crunchy beats any soggy delivery HANDS DOWN.... I don’t have a tea very often, mainly due to the being a bit poor, including quite a well known one in Anstruther, however, this restaurant was recommended by a family member so I thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, nice and fresh and a good size portion. I will certainly visit again and would highly recommend. Since bring bought over everything has went downhill. I have given them a chance but I will no longer be using this shop. The prices have went up & down. The is tasteless & chewy not crispy. The pizzas are no longer good, flavourless & doughy. The girls that work in the shop are lovely but the delivery drivers are idiots! They stand at my gate not saying anything & expect someone to appear magically all because I have two Labradors, one is a puppy! Today one did speak but only to be rude to my daughter telling her to hurry up with the dogs. Why have delivery drivers that are scared of dogs! Altogether an awful chippy! Prices up, portions downsized. Staff were not giving great service - not even eye contact and clearly some problem behind the counter that was causing the attitude problem. Not my business and shouldnt be my problem either. Smoked sausage was poor and when you got a whole one were good but felt like a box of scraps. Home made bottles of brown sauce are very very questionable. Won't be back despite being very convenient. Asked for Kebab with Salad - no sauce but ended up with a Kebab with Sauce and hardly any Salad. Phoned to complain but would've been better speaking to a wall. Phoned again and said I was bringing it back. Got a replacement with a lot of hard Cabbage in it - No Onions and definitely no apology. Won't be going back as not paying that price for mediocre food. Was always great, don’t know if there has been a change in ownership as staff aren’t the originals… So it starts with the price hike due to potato costs, notice states this will return to normal when the new crop comes in but apparently the great potato famine continues. But the main gripe was last night’s sudden cut in portion size! A lot lot less and it now seems the usual half smoked sausage seems like one third. The battered jumbo’s seem the same as before. also seemed very very greasy. Will give it another go but if this is the new norm our very long love affair is over! On this occasion very very poor. Ordered a mixed kebab which had clearly been reheated in microwave through the back. There was no indication of kebab cooking going on through the front at the counter. Was lukewarm, chewy and just downright rotten. were gritty which was rather odd. Why offer this on your menu if its not done properly? Stick to traditional chippy stuff and pizza. On the plus side staff are nice enough but wont be enough to see me ever going back. Plenty of chippies in the area to choose from but this one has gone right downhill in my estimation. Whoever thinks its a good idea to microwave donner meat/tikka chicken and still manage to serve it cold needs their jotters. Very poor stuff from what use to be a decent chippie. La padella need to start using plastic sheeting or greaseproof paper on top of their suppers!
