A very pub in the hamlet of Rosset outside of Pulford an easy walk from the Grosvenor Hotel. Had an excellent Steak and Ale pie. beer garden. Highly recommended and will be returning. We had such an awesome dinner there tonight, as the food and was amazing! Our servers and Olivia went above and beyond to ensure that we had an awesome meal. The owner Steve was also very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, especially their wings and pork bao buns. The fish and were good, and the homemade steak and ale pie was nice. It was a bit on the heavier side and slightly dry, but the sauce made it much better. Overall, this is a option for food in the Pulford area, as the and atmosphere was very good. This was a pleasant surprise and highly recommend going there for a or even just a pint! Having driven past this pub many times and always wanting to give it a try we finally found an excuse to go for a birthday and it didn't disappoint. We started with the sharing charcuterie board which had local cheeses 🧀 this was more than enough for 3 of us to share. We went on with two of us having the classic and cajun burger, the birthday boy had a pie and omg was it a find, the pie was massive packed full of filling and came with chunky and roasted vegetables... we finished off with two sticky toffee puddings and me having a coffee. The pub has ample seating and also has a large outdoor seating section which offers covered dinning. Its definitely somewhere we will return and I would definitely recommend it. excellent food. reasonable .prices understandable and within range of being value for the equality of food. welcoming atmosphere but it's a road side property with no real facilities for children. this isn't their fault but be aware if you have an overactive child. really place though service, but food was very slow to arrive. Excellent steak and ale pie; over-cooked; excellent sticky toffee pudding; waffle was over-heated and 'crisp'. Not the usual standard we've come to expect at this pub; look forward to a better experience next time. Outstanding service, incredible food, atmosphere! We went for dinner on a Saturday night at very short notice (due to being let down elsewhere), and were greeted by very friendly, welcoming staff. We had two people looking after us for the majority of the night, and both were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The waiter brought a side plate out for us and as he was placing it on the table, he noticed a mark in the middle of the plate and immediately took it back to replace it before we said anything! The food was absolutely delicious, portion sizes and beautifully presented! 10/10 would recommend and will be returning! So and rum options! From stepping in the door to the food to walking to the car; we had a fab experience. The food was divine, the were & the restaurant is beautifully decorated throughout. We love that dogs are welcome! There was only myself & partner with our little one that attended. The menu options are great, a choice of variety to each menu. I had the potato & leek soup for a starter then for the main it was pan fried duck. Both these dishes were exquisite. The homemade soup was thick & the portion size was perfect. The duck was also cooked to perfection served with jus & stacked potatoes. My partner enjoyed the sticky for his starter which he said was very nice just needs to have a little more sticky sauce to ve able to appreciate that more. The main was a waffle fried with fried which he upgraded to teuffle salted fries. He says the fries are delicious. The was & the waffle flavour came through well. Our little one had the cheesy pasta, which although was stated to be cheesy we didn't realise how much until it arrived. It was very nice though, not too rich of a cheese. We had a glass of merlot & a pint of beer There is a jar of treats on the bar from your furry friends too which is so nice & thoughtful. Highly recommend taking a visit here. Had the Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing !! Everything was so tasty, amount of food and was served efficiently. The staff, as always were so welcoming and ! Highly recommend here for any occasion ! 3 out of four meals ordered weren't available at 6.30 in the evening. Long wait for and food. Sat at a dirty table, not even in the dining area. Specified it was for a birthday but didn't even ask whose birthday it was or acknowledge we were there for a birthday. Wrong item on bill because there wasn't a button for the hotdog but salad was the same price. Poor experience overall. Food was ok but it was basically 3 & and one hotdog & chips. Not what we expected after seeing the food on their Facebook page. ** Update: revisited after speaking with Steve. Totally different experience - food and was excellent. A very enjoyable meal. Thank you! I ordered sea bass and it was totally delicious We were advised there would be a short delay as all our food was cooked fresh which we appreciated. I was the only one to have a desert and when it arrived ( after a reasonable wait) our server apologised for the delay ( I hadn’t spotted it😀) and took it off the bill Good food AND proactive customer that gets 5 stars from me We eat here often as a couple, but last night we treated the whole family to a birthday — and it was perfect! All eight meals were absolutely delicious, and the was outstanding. The were so attentive, especially the young lady who looked after us. We brought our own cake, and they even added a sparkler candle, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our family were so impressed — they’ll definitely be regulars like us now! Thanks guys keep being the best in the area 💫💫💫💫💫 place with a feel. The food was and excellent value for money. The quality well exceeded the cost. The host was super and just the right level of attentive. Super and selection of both food and drinks. highly recommended Table booked for early lunch. Ordered Cheshire Ham, 2 fried eggs, triple cooked and peas. Prompt with service, started on meal, noticed the ham had no taste at all just texture.....rubbery plain ham.......eggs lightly fried so much so white was sloppy.....triple cooked had no taste at all and were not triple cooked in my eyes. Just frozen out of the bag..had to shake more salt onto just to give it some taste, accompaniment mayonnaise was nice. Was asked after 5 minutes if all was OK with our meal, replied it's alright, then after moving my egg to another part of the plate I found a hair under it. That put the 'top hat' on me eating anymore of the meal. We left the table and I went to pay my bill. Comment made on how quick we had ate our but I replied with 'food unacceptable' with above reasons. Was asked if I wished for them to tell the manager but I was not interested in refund, I needed to make them aware of how awful we found the meal. Should there have been a refund, the serving me should have been able to action this and not expect me to wait on the manager coming to hear my complaint again, especially with more customers coming into the area. Bill paid of £32.90 but will not visit again and will not recommend. We visited and dined here for the first time last Sunday evening. We joined six other friends for a Christmas and we were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant and seating was very presentable with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, each of the three courses were excellent in presentation, portions and taste, and the was very and friendly. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and meal, especially as we were ones of many who had list our power due to Storm Darragh. The tables and dining area was attractive and clean, and the toilets were clean and tidy too. We will certainly look forward to returning to the Dog and Pickle again very soon and we will highly recommend there to family and friends. I opted for the supreme and to my dismay when it arrived there was next to nothing on the plate, the consisted of two small pieces of breast, some puree and a small block of potato in a red wine sauce and while what was on the plate was the was beautifully cooked the portion I can only describe as desperately disappointing. On another note the provided was first class, our waitress was excellent. Amazing food & dog Friendly, easy to book. We visited for Sunday Lunch and the food was great. The however was slow and they ended up bringing our starter with the mains due to messing up the order. Felt a bit pricey compared to similar pubs in the area. Looking for a Sunday lunch we chose the Sharing Roast. What a decision!!! We loved every bite, all the meats were tasty and beautifully cooked. All the veg dishes were full of flavour and impressed in their own right, and there was large selection. Yorkshire pudding too. Wouldn't hesitate order again. Went to the dog and pickle with a friend on a Sunday with high hopes it was going to be amazing , after seeing the pub/ restaurant on social media. I ordered a , our friend, ordered a salad and my partner ordered a salad . When the salads came out our friends salad looked massive and my partners looked like a side salad with loads of items missing that was advertised on the menu . I had the ceaser . So eating this half way I felt werid , so I didn’t think anything of it , leaving the slaw and . I mentioned to the that the salad was missing items and she went away and took it off the bill . She was really friendly Now couple hours afterwards I never left the toilet and all day on bank holiday Monday I was in bed with a poorly tummy . I feel like I had food poisoning as I went to work on Tuesday I still wasn’t right The pub is gorgeous inside , parking is tight as it gets busy , the are all friendly. Dog friendly, amazing food and staff! 😀 We ordered two meals and some sides for home delivery, and all the food was apart from the steak burger. We called up and the manager was very apologetic, he came out very quickly with a brand new steak also a and some sides as extra and provided a full refund! The new was delicious too. Fantastic customer service! Dont bother with load of rubbish food is overpriced and awful Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
