Found this pub from Google Maps, and it looked good. So we went down (where on holiday in area). Staff were friendly and got us a table. We had food & drinks, and both came out quickly. Food was really good quality and big portions of food to. Good price food to compared to some other local places what I have seen. Pub ( Public House ) an apt name for this place, as a central corridor with smaller rooms, makes gives it a feel of a house. The pub hasn't been messed with or ' modernised ' thank goodness, so it feels like a pub not a dentist. A pub for the locals, many of whom are Welsh speakers. A friendly feeling to the place. Staff very pleasant. Billard table and games machine in place. Parking at the rear of the pub, by way of a narrow entrance to the right We called in for a snack & a drink, so can't comment on the restaurant side of the pub, however they seem to be rated well. The restaurant is situated to one side of the pub Negatives only instant coffee on the pub side Friendly helpful staff and a beautiful meal. We hadn't booked and I would recommend it as the pub was quite busy but the service was quick and friendly. The home cooked chips are fantastic Had the full rack of Ribs which was really tasty with loads of chips. Best to book a table as it gets quite busy especially on a Friday night. Went to The Newborough Arms and being it was lunch time I had the meal deal for 2 for £12. I had the All day breakfast and the Hot beef and onion bap, both with home made chips which were spot on. Can't fault the service, very friendly indeed, Prices were reasonable and nice to see a proper pub with a Pool Table & Dart board. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, thanks and will be visiting again. Found this lovely pub on a very windy day out with our 2 dogs and 3 kids, staff were very inviting, fantastic service, offered our dogs a drink, we didn’t need to ask for a thing, not pushy in anyway, made us all feel safe and wanted, amazing food, chicken burger was one of the best I've had for sure, kids menu available and fantastic portion sizes too, our 11 year old had kids pizza and there was plenty. Would definitely recommend this pub if your in the area 👍🏼 Not good Booked table for 4people and dog, been asked to come 6pm rather then 7pm which we wanted but that was ok for us. When we arived we been turned away as alredy 4dogs on premises....well hello... courtesy call would have been great since we traveled from far and phone bumber been taken with booking.... A very welcoming pub. Well behaved dogs are welcome. We sat in the beer garden at the rear.
