It's in a lovely location just outside of St Day, and has a lovely outside area, with one part also sheltered. The selection of drinks are great, and the variety and quality of food is brilliant and also reasonably priced. I've attended events here such as music and karaoke in the pub itself which is always a atmosphere, and also hosted and attended events in the Marquee, which is well presented and again reasonably priced. When hosting, I played Spotify through the speakers in the marquee, there was a staffed bar and I could bring my own buffet food in too. The owners of the pub liased with us directly and were to talk to. All the staff have been brilliant in my experience, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and safe. They also cater for allergies and food intolerances, especially if you let them know in advance. (They ensured the all you can eat curry night was safe for a relative with coeliac when we called and asked). There's an outdoor area with many benches where kids can play and parking for customers. I highly recommend this place for events, food, drinks, gigs and everything else. local pub, offering delicious food and guest crafted beers/ciders. Steak Night is excellent value for money (Thursdays). The best tasty steak too. Had a Sunday carvery, excellent quality food. Really enjoyed our meals and we booked to return the next Sunday. Nice staff in a traditional pub. Beef, Pork, Gammon and Turkey all presented beautifully with a nice range of freshly cooked veg. I would highly recommend this for Sunday lunch. 4 of us went for dinner, having heard positive reviews about this pub, and it did not disappoint. Staff were very and efficient, there's an extensive menu choice , a very extensive selection of beer and Cider, ( the 'cloudy' scrumpy takes no prisoners) and excellent, home cooked food. And on top of all that, excellent value for money. We'll definitely be returning soon. A pub serving a wide range of real ales, as well as regular branded beers, lager and cider. A very comprehensive, reasonably priced food menu is available as well as daily specials and themed nights. Adequate parking ( don't forget to register your car at the bar on arrival ) and a large garden with childrens play equipment round off the facilities at this wonderful pub. We were on holiday and staying in St Day. This pub was a find. The staff were welcoming and and the food they serve is really good with good portion sizes and a varied menu. They offer a large range of drinks too. We visted twice during our week away and would definitely go back again if it was our local. 4 of us stopped here, by chance, after visiting St Day briefly yesterday at lunchtime, and was not disappointed. 2 had jacket potatoes, one had ocean pie and I had the ploughman’s. And it was all stunning. Tasted amazing. Presented amazing and a big shout out to the man serving us. He was polite and super and welcoming. (Eton Mess was also gorgeous). It all made me wish I lived local as this place would BE my favourite go to).
