Lovely pub with cosy atmosphere . We had a fantastic home cooked meal and fresh prepared vegetables. Staff very and accommodating . Victory pie was absolutely delicious and definitely be back again . Highly Recommended 10/10 Fantastic Steak and Guinness Pie too. Update Had various meals since in last 5 years and always range of food and food and staff. little pub, tasting home made menu, the pub itself is history dating back to 16th century. Very and welcoming staff, the pub is also dog friendly. You will enjoy this local Cornish historical pub.. mr and my family did. food service choice of drinks. The food was perfect in every way. Lovely little remote pub, away from the noise and traffic 😌. Staff were talkative and to us, they made our experience to this unique pub, perfect 🥰. Overall its a lovely remote pub to get away from the crowds at other pubs. Lots of COVID-19 precautions as well.☺ I mean, the food is ok... though considering the price, very mediocre. Most of it tastes like cheap canned or frozen supermarket stuff, especially the soup and burger. They seem to try and place quantity over quality so I couldn't eat the mountain of mediocre stuff on the plate. Service was pretty slow too. I don't understand all the good reviews of this place, honestly. Wouldn't go back. This pub has excellent food & the staff are so friendly. We went for Sunday lunch while visiting the area & did book in advance. I had the vegetarian option which was a nut roast & was the best I have ever tasted & I’ve had a few! The rest of my family loved the meat options. Desserts were delicious too & all topped off with a lovely bottle of wine. We would all highly recommend visiting The Victory Inn. When we next return to Cornwall we will definitely be back! We went in with no reservation after a days climbing so were very scruffy and hungry. We were greated with big smiles and seated immediately. The wine list was really nice. The staff were lovely. Huge portions of delicious home cooked food including fresh sefood. We thoroughly enjoyed and have been telling everyone since. Visiting from North Staffordshire and we were recommended The Victory Inn for Sunday Roast and it didn't disappoint 😋 Simon and his team were incredibly welcoming!!!!! The atmosphere very and relaxed. The Roast dinner was exceptional.
