Visited for lunch on a Thursday. The bar was busy (12:30) but we managed to get a table. Ordered Tomato and Pepper Soup for starters. Served with a slice of toasted Sourdough. Chicken and Leek Pie; Fish Pue for main course. All of the food was delicious. Service was excellent but our main course took a while to arrive. However, we had arrived shortly after a table of 10 so there was a slight delay. We weren't bothered and it didn't spoil our lunch. Great atmosphere in the pub. Excellent value for money. I’m not one for a pub environment but this definitely felt comfortable to be in, were lovely and good with cracking some yokes. Went for a bacon and bap, and got to say the food was fresh and delicious, not many places in Cornwall have it this good! I visited on a Sunday evening in August. It was busy but we found a table outside in the sun. The food was good and service was friendly and cheerful. There was a good atmosphere. We really enjoyed our visit. We had 3 Greyhounds with us and we found the pub was dog friendly and even sold special snacks for dogs. Bravo. Just had a great roast lamb with my Dad. Bargain at £16. Great chef. The breakfast was first class everything on the plate was so fresh and perfectly cooked and what a selection of items. Good quality bacon, sausage patties, bubble and squeak.portobello mushrooms, egg and toasted sourdough bread perfectly presented. To start, I chose the salt & pepper squid, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The main course was the special: a steak with a delicious stilton sauce.
