Went here for Sunday lunch and luckily they managed to fit us in. The food was good and the portions (of veg in particular) generous. Although the food wasn't as hot as you would expect it was still good and excellent value. Dog friendly too. We came here before a couple years ago for my daughter's first holiday. We have come here again this year and it is a lovely, low beamed country pub. It's quaint, it's cozy. The restaurant looks beautiful. We had the Homemade Hunters Chicken which was absolutely delicious. A Sirloin steak cooked to perfection and a little Chicken Nuggets, chips and beans. My 3 year old even got her own little child set knife and fork. The prices were good, the portion sizes were generous. Cannot fault this lovely place and will certainly be back in the future. Came here for a family meal whilst we were all on holiday. Service was decent, everyone was really friendly, but the food was pretty shocking. Chilli con carne was so bland and the rice tasted like it was one of those microwave pouches. The desserts weren't much better, lemon meringue tasted like it was a frozen one, the lemon filling was grainy. The brownie was burnt around the edges to the point you couldn't stab your fork in it. It was a real shame as it is a really nice warm friendly pub. Visited here while camping. Such a welcoming place. The food was fantastic, big portions and lots on offer. Very much enjoyed and we wish it was our local!😃 Absolutely perfeck pub!!
