I went to the hub for a specific event with Bournemouth and District concert band. The did really well. The at the hub were professional and friendly. The is a bit eccentric as there is clearly not lot of on site and much of what was there was being occupied by maintenance vehicles and Harris fencing. You then have to figure out if nearby is OK as it is not clearly signed. Turns out it was fine but it nags at you after visiting places like Bournemouth where they fine you for the smallest infraction. The hall for the was a great size and the seating comfortable. However the lack of air conditioning meant that the and audience were over heating. The suggested opening doors but the duty manager said this was not possible due to neighbour complaints. Frankly, who moves next to a music venue and then complaints about the noise??. So fans were put on which did begin to cool the hall but I had to wonder why this was not already in operation in a space the knew to be hot, on a warm evening when it was going to be busy. Overall the hub is an adequate venue but has the feel of somewhere struggling for revenue. It is sadly typical of provincial theatres and halls that modern amenities such as air conditioning are not already installed. My overall opinion is that It is a place trying to be far too many things at once and thereby sadly failing at doing most of them. With a bit of creativity and clear proactive management it could be so much better. Good place. I use the gym there 3 to 4 times a week. It's never too crowded. To be honest I always avoid the pick "after work" time. It's always clean and the is pleasant. Also toilets and changing rooms are always looking fresh and clean. I do not use their other facilities but I see they always have something going on with shows, comedies, musicals, bingo nights. Thank you . very nice centre . have a good sized auditorium with comfortable seats. there are balcony other smaller rooms for other smaller events. Nice bar with reasonable prices. good outside. ot was very clean including toilets Went to a coldplay/ oasis/ stereo phonics tribute act and it was immense! Bar could do with being bigger but the were amazing as were the band!!! One large and one small function room, with small studios also. Lounge bar adjacent. Large room is rather echoey I was delivering some equipment for a party, couldn't believe that there was no free loading and unloading area, you have to pay to park! Nice venue though. Great community venue Kewl! Friendly, helpful when I used to hop to the gym; this tradition continued today when I lazed away a couple of day-off hours, sofaseated in a sunny atrium window. Jordan fixed me up a gluten-free bacon bap instead and a dairy-free mocha (the best, I vow), all Hot Hot Hot and only for £6.70. Bacon is gorgeous - crisp not cracking; juicy not fatty! I went to the Christmas Dance with the 20-1 big band. What a great evening,. The and facilities are excellent. Plenty of free parking. Good place with free and Wi-Fi. Good service and very tidy and clean As a regular attendee of the Verwood hub gym and classes, I can say that I particularly enjoy the spin classes held by Carly, Vicky, Julie and more recently, the new instructor Caroline. Caroline’s class yesterday was superb and although it was geared for serious cyclists, I found to be extremely enjoyable and catered well for all abilities. Caroline herself was super professional and her instruction was of a very high standard. It would be great to see her join the regular excellent team of instructors at the Hub! Not the hub I was looking for ⬛️🟧 Bingo was great though Went to a Coldplay, Stereophonics, Oasis tribute act on Saturday 12th April. The sound was so loud, it spoilt the evening. I'm aware that the bands represented are meant to be 'loud', but this was way too much. Very pleasant at the bar though, it was really busy..but they were all polite and cheerful.
