Visited here twice for food whilst on our stay and we were certainly not disappointed at all. As you can see from our photos from our evening meals they were delicious, they were presented well and they tasted fantastic. Well worth the money we paid and the were very and nothing was too much trouble. It's also dog and our dog loved it as well. Do not miss out when visiting Stourpaine. Great pub. We were staying locally and had a fantastic 20 minute walk by the river to get there. Great food and friendly, efficient service. Exceptionally dog friendly. We sat in the shade at the front of the pub but dogs welcome throughout. Dog snacks and water provided. attentive to dogs and asked if it was OK to say hello. Our puppy is very enthusiastic and reactive so appreciated the consideration. Lots of good walking nearby so an ideal spot to end a good walk or take a break. Absolute gem of a pub, excellent Sunday lunch which was massive. were lovely and very attentive. The pub was lovely, warm, inviting and quirky. Have been before for steam up but had to re visit to try the food and so glad we did. Lovely experience and we will definitely return Lovely village pub. Food was very nice and service was quick and friendly. Loved the interior! So much history. Had a super lunchtime here today with wife,sister and brother in law. In a very convivial atmosphere created by wonderfully efficient staff, every one. Every meal thoroughly enjoyed, and very good value. We recently held a celebration of life (wake) at the White Horse. We opted for cream tea and had full use of the garden area which was partially covered, but still allowed the sunshine to come through. The food was absolutely delicious and presented amazingly. There was a fresh bouquet of beautiful flowers which was such a special touch. The bar and catering could not have done more. So attentive and amazing service. Chris the landlord has been so helpful throughout navigating this sad time and we are beyond grateful to all who made it such a special time. Thank you! Stayed at Airbnb around the corner and this was just a perfect place. Ali the landlady is just lovely and made us feel very welcome, even if the walk to get there via Hob Hill almost killed the wife !! Great beers, ciders and brass band played on the Sunday.
