It's the only chippy in the area so it was an easy choice for food. The portions are small compared to the chippies in my area. But they did something I have been meaning to try for a while, battered snickers and mars bars! The mars turns very sweet but the snitchers stays nice. That's just a matter of taste. But something that I saw others mention is the grease. Expect a lot of grease! It's great if you plan on running your diesel car on it, if not, you'll end up with a lot of grease! Lol The food is ok but greasy. A little too pricey for what you get. All in all, average. Enjoy. I had nearly lost hope for finding good and along the coast near Borth. In some places, it seems shop owners think hungry tourists will eat anything and forget unpleasant experiences by the next season. However, The Surrey in Borth made my day. The was remarkably fresh and perfectly fried. The were delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. I'm grateful for this excellent meal and will definitely return on future visits. Chips was soggy and stuck together. Sfc is just flat chicken steaks not proper sfc. Food was vile and went in the bin. Waste of £30 One of the nicest chippy meals we've had in a long time. Really tasty and the gravy is amazing, which coming from a Northerner is as good a recommendation as you can get 😁 Took a friend here and they said the were "the best I've ever had!" Lovely staff and exceptional service, food is always great and delivered fast :) Would recommend !!! Bang average. Soggy and dry fish! :-) However, the people in the nearby ynyslas beach car park were absolute gems and lifted our spirits by letting us in for free. Came in with a load of food allergies (including gluten free). Everyone working was amazingly friendly and helpful with the ingredients, all ingredient labels were shown which was really reassuring! Seperate fryers are used for Gluten free food, perfect for coeliac! The was light and fluffy and the batter was amazingly crispy. The were fresh and the curry sauce was probably the best I've ever had! It tasted amazing and to top it all off there were no gluten side effects the next day!! There is no phone number to use, but everyone was very helpful when in the shop.
