We had fish and chips at the pier, and a walk along the sea front before heading back up through town. One word of warning , if the kids want to build sandcastles , there's more grit than sand, which makes things a bit difficult! In the winter months the "Starling Murmeration" is a spectacular event every evening when they come in to roost on the pier. Great day out for all. Great beach, lovely promenade , shops, cafes , restaurants, and skimming stones paradise 😍 One of best places in Winter to see starling murmurations as 50,000 of them try and cram under the pier. Just remember to wrap up warm and wear your waterproofs/carry a brolly as a lot of birds creates a lot of poo! Such a dirty and dreary looking place. Quite depressing to walk around to be honest.. much like the whole town.
