We stopped here for dinner as they had a play area for the kids. Service was grand! The food was amazing! Place clean and play area lovely for the kids. The kids' fish for my son was rather big (perfect for a growing 10yo), my steak was...wow...and the kids' sausage was lovely, as was the kids' egg chis and beans (both great for 7yo and 4yo) although I also ordered a side of scampi and onion rings for the older 2 as we didn't know the kids portion was going to be so generous. We left full, smiles on our faces, and it's a place I would definitely highly recommend for others. Will say though that it was expensive - £16 for adults fish and chips - however, I'd say, worth it. They even gave all the kids a little lollipop afterwards. The staff were very friendly and bubbly. The food was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. I would definitely come back again. Lovely welcoming pub staff wonderful . food good excellent cheese cake made in house great place to stay over in my campervan really enjoyed Staff were very welcoming . enjoyed the food and drinks reasonablely priced nice stop off as we traveled through. Excellent Sunday lunch for 4 including one vegetarian and one gluten free. Well trained friendly staff. I just think there website for booking a table could be improved Popped in for a quick meal, staff were lovely really quick services. We had a specials burger and lasagne which we both really enjoyed best burger we’ve had in a while! Portions are amazing, very reasonably priced! Can definitely recommend! Sunday carvery with a group of eight for a special occasion. Easy to reserve a table on the website. Staff very attentive and helpful, especially the waitress, who was excellent. The carvery was delicious home cooked food with a choice of turkey, beef and pork (you choose two out of three). Loads of veg to choose from, Yorkshire pudding and home made stuffing balls absolutely delicious. Dessert was a choice of apple crumble with custard or ice cream, chocolate fudge cake with ice cream or cream, or waffle with cream, ice cream and toffee sauce. Excellent value, would definitely recommend. We ate here 5 times over the period of our holiday. Staff were lovely and the food equally so. Nice to find such a friendly and accommodating establishment with all day food. Keep on doing what you are doing so well!!
