The climbing walls as well. Caffe place is clean and nice range of food and snacks available with lovely window with view for a lake . Staff very helpful and kind. Seems lots of other activities are available. Visited the cafe for food whilst my daughter was riding. Really impressed with the quality of the food on offer and all served by super friendly staff members. I highly recommended the Bacon, Brie and Cranberry toastie with a side order of chips. All enjoyed in some spectacular Brecon Beacon views looking towards Cribyn. I took the here back in April 2022. The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient with the kids. They tried the indoor climbing taster and coaching session and absolutely loved it. My then 6 year old was apprehensive but wanted to join in at the same time with her big brothers she has additional needs as all the do but the staff were so patient and accommodating with her and she had a fab time climbing the walls, bouldering and doing the very high course. I also brought her back herself the following day for a little and we both went on a little hack. She absolutely loved little conker. The price was very reasonable and well worth it to see the happy faces. If we are back down that way we will definitely return. We tried for the first time and we loved it! Horses are very well trained and we went for a 2h trip even though we were beginners. The views were stunning, so it is another advantage. Instructors are really nice. We will definitely come again once we will be back in the area. Great to find an independent climbing centre with challenging bouldering problems and real rock top ropes as well as lead. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and went out if their way to answer questions. I booked for an outdoor excursion for complete beginners (I have already been before but my friends were new to it). I was very excited for the day but unfortunately the experience was not particularly pleasant. My looked very tired and kept on tripping on the external path, on the rocks and muddy route. I have been outdoors many times and this has never happened to me. At a certain point she fell and ended up sitting on the ground. I was on the top of her and I went down with her as well. She was really looking very tired and it makes you wonder how they treat animals in this place... Our guide, a woman with curly ginger hair, was in front of us and kept being on her phone for all the time. Considering I booked the experience as for beginners, I was expecting a bit more of engagement on her side, especially for safety reasons. She didn't make us feel she would have been able to help us if anything bad happened. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it is a shame because the area around be stunning and the animals are lovely. However the management team doesn't take safety as seriously as they should and their horses look neglected, tired and hungry. Fantastic camping experience. Stayed for 3 nights and found the campsite to be spacious, out of the way. The showers and toilets are modern and clean. There is good wifi coverage at the end of the field. The views of the lake and sun setting over the Pen y Fan valley is gorgeous. I enjoyed the freedom of pitching where we fancied and the non-interference of the owners. Also the night sky is very clear for stargazing. I will definitely recommend this campsite. Avoid This Hellhole – Worst Experience of Our Lives If you value your money, your family’s happiness, or even basic respect, do not step foot in this place. • We were falsely accused not once but twice. First, for swearing near children (it wasn’t us) — no apology. Then later, while we were off-site at a bar, staff were waiting at the gate to ambush us, accusing us of “causing a disruption” and threatening to call the police. Our children were left terrified and in tears. The truth? We weren’t even there when it supposedly happened. Did they care? Not one bit. Instead, we were ordered to “go straight to bed” like naughty kids. Humiliating, insulting, and disgusting behaviour towards paying adults with families. • The management — fronted by a very short woman on a permanent power trip — is a joke. Bullying, confrontational, and completely unfit to run a family campsite. More like a dictator running a prison yard than someone welcoming holidaymakers. • The café is an absolute rip-off. £25 for ONE tea, ONE coffee, a sausage bap and a tiny breakfast. You’d get better value at an airport lounge. This place is toxic. Families treated like criminals, reduced to tears, and guests humiliated for no reason. We couldn’t get out fast enough. There are hundreds of campsites in this country that will welcome you with kindness and respect. This isn’t one of them. Worst holiday we have ever had. This place should be avoided like the plague.
