Fantastic getting up close to and walking with the Alpacas. We were introduced to the gorgeous animals at their shelter on the farm and had a well informed introduction to each and every one regarding their personalities, their place in the pack what to expect from them, how to behave, what's not best around them and much more. Each person walking with an Alpaca clips on their lead and guides them out to the field, the animals know their place and the humans help guide. Huge smiles on all faces, led by the lovely Lindsay along the trail through forest and back to start. The views en route are exquisite just to add to the experience. I chose to be a spectator, went along for the walk, just not holding a lead. Our niece was visiting Glasgow with her girlfriend and it was something different to the norm. Thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Lindsay, we hope to bring more visitors for the experience. Fantastic walking these lovely Alpacas! around the countryside. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great day out for all ages! We enjoyed our Trek with Mac and Eric. Natalia was lovely and professional. Really knows her stuff. Would love to come back again. We had a fantastic time on our alpaca trek with Chester and Toby. Our guide Kara was amazing, she told us all about the and explained about each of their personalities, thank you so much. (I hope I have remembered your name correctly, sorry if not). I have visited Alpaca place with friends. It was a present for one of my friends so we all got a mini hike with there. Very beautiful place with lake - landscapes are amazing. We had an introductory talk with one of the farm keepers. There are around 6-7 boys and around 4 girls. Introductory talk included all the general info about as a species and specific keeping behaviours in this farm. Everyone was explained how to behave with alpaca and their relationships between themselves (eg my alpaca was feeling as a small brother of another alpaca so he preferred to stay close to him during the walk). We had a nice ~40 minute walk. In the end we saw some horses and a pony. Also interacted with female alpacas. It was very lovely walk even though the weather was freezing. Our guide was answering all the questions about and farm so it was really interesting and useful. We were staying at the AMAZING Larch Green Lodges (pheasant lodge) so we obviously wanted to meet the Alpacas. It was clear from the outset that Lyndsey loved the animals and they were so well cared for. It was also apparent that they loved her too! They each had their own little personalities and throughout the trek you really get to know the Alpaca you are paired with. Lyndsey provided lots of facts about the and we got to give them a snack at the end when we also got to take some selfies. I cannot recommend this enough, well cared for animals and a fun engaging activity. LOVED IT! What a wonderful, unique experience! We loved spending time with these beautiful animals, all with different characters and levels of mischief! Our guide was amazing, really informative and kept everything running perfectly. I found this a really calming thing to do and would highly recommend. Great experience, we met all the Alpaca boys and got to feed Sid and Mac.
