Leaving through the river Leven and continuing up the West side of the loch, the then approaches some of the islands many islands before heading back to Balloch. There is a bar and snack food available and a hood amount of outside seating allowing you to take in the views. There is a well-informed commentary from the tour company explaining the history of the various grand houses and that of the islands as well. There is a kiosk where you can buy tickets. There are one or two trips, I chose the two hour. The lower level has comfortable seats and gives a good view. The upper level has chairs and tables, which is fine if you are a group but awkward if you are travelling alone. You either have to invite yourself into someone else's group or hog a table to yourself. This area had a bar which also sold snacks. There is a small area outside, but this is standing room only. You do get a view from here, but make sure you have a jumper because even on a hot day, it can feel chilly. There are toilets on board. Along the way, you are provided with interesting information about the areas you are passing. The pricing was reasonable for a two trip. Beautiful. Lovely and relaxing. It was fresh out on the Loch, so wrap up. The Loch was calm even with a brisk wind blowing. The ice age constructed these impressive bodies of water. Giant glaciers gouged the land to create mountains as well as the lakes. The vikings vist and kings and Queens of cruise, staff. I wanted to rebook due to earlier arrival and they were very nice and professional about it and made it happen in seconds. 😀 The boats have been previously run on the German Rhein river (which I noticed due to some German signage). overall, (like most people in Scotland are). So friends and very well done commentaries! They are all pre-recorded and perfectly times so the sound quality is and you never are struggling to hear on awkward headphones and what not. Plus each has a nice little snack bar for drinks and food. We went on a 2 trip on Loch Lomond with Sweeney's Cruises. It was a perfect afternoon and an excellent way to see the Loch from a different perspective. It really made our holiday and I would tell everyone to take the time to do a trip if visiting Loch Lomond. The was good and the commentary was excellent it gave us an insight into the lochs history. You can have refreshments from the bar on but we enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate before we boared at the cafe/bar on the quayside. Joined a really nice long onto Loch Lomond. All were and was nice a spacious with outdoor seating upstairs and indoor seating downstairs. The had a wee cafe serving drinks and snacks and toilets were available too. Throughout the voyage there were audio descriptors of what we were passing on the shore. Overall a really nice out onto the loch and well worth a visit. An amazing relaxing journey an this huge lake which is about 23 miles. I had 2hrs tour and had a awsome time. Take your own food and munch with you and keep your camera ready for some awsome shots. Please note this tour is recommended for those who would like to have a piece and water travel. We had a lovely cruise, the guided information was factual and to the point, giving lovely point of interest to note. were amazing, polite and helpful. My 3 dogs were made welcome too. The voiceover was interesting and told historical stories of each island. £28 is certainly on the upper end of what I was willing to pay for the but was just about worth the excessive cost. Went on this on the Luss to Balmaha return service, the weather was and the views unbeatable. We booked this through GetYourGuide and found it very easy to arrange even booking just one before departure. A big plus was that infants go free which is for families. There was plenty of space on and the lower deck was fairly empty making it comfortable and relaxed. The has separate male and female toilet facilities which were clean and well maintained. There is also a small bar on offering alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which are not included in the ticket price. The were very and welcoming. One of the crew provided commentary about the history of the area the islands on Loch Lomond and the historic clans connected to them. I was not sure whether the commentary was live or recorded but either way it was very informative and factual. Another highlight was being able to stand outside at the bow of the which gave amazing views and made the even better. Overall a smooth informative and enjoyable that is well organised family and definitely worth doing when visiting Loch Lomond. It was a lovely trip! I thoroughly enjoyed the two-hour journey—the landscapes were charming, and the was well worth the price. Since it was not high season, I was able to make a booking on the same day, and there were definitely fewer people than the vessel's full capacity. There were seating options both inside and outside; however, the large, clean windows inside provided a opportunity to take pictures from a warm location. Drinks and food were available on board, and while historical information was provided at certain points, I would have appreciated more details. My brother lives in Glasgow and I was looking for a day trip. Easy 50 min train to Balloch. As soon as you get out of the train station, the Sweeney signs are visible. We had stunning weather and the green hills looked even more gorgeous. 1 was perfect and I got to learn some local history and lore. Quick and easy to buy tickets from the kiosk, arrived slightly early but plenty seats to sit on and wait. Very and informative cruise. Sat upstairs for most of the trip but got rather cold so went downstairs and had a lovely coffee . Definitely recommend the views are spectacular. Nice wee 1 afternoon tour. It was my first time in Loch Lomond and this was definitely a way to its stunning views and learn a bit about its history (thanks to Sweeney's audio guide). Our was the Silver Marlin and had indoor and 'outside' deck seating. Tickets bought in advance online with no issues, and the location is hard to miss as it's just across the road from Balloch Station with a nice bar/outdoor waiting area and toilets nearby.
