My dinner was wonderful - in fact, I told the chef that I think it’s probably one of the best meals I’ve had since I’ve been in Germany. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and it was absolutely delicious. My wine was perfect, and finished with tiramisu, a cappuccino and grappa. It was really the perfect evening. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, too. I can’t wait to come back. Best place to eat pasta and pizzas in Gengenbach. The quality of the food is very good. We had carbonara and pizza Barese, bith were really good. We will go again for sure. We were a couple sat outside on a Wednesday evening in early September and we had a very tasty dinner and a great bottle of Primitivo, with excellent friendly service. The Orecchiette pasta was amazing! we made our table reservation earlier that same day. We got here right when it opened and it filled up pretty quickly. We tried almost all the vegan options (except the Antipasti for 2): Bruschetta, Ciccio, Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, Penne with vegetables. The food was nice! But the options were pretty basic and there weren't many options for vegans. On the other hand, the location is stunning and the staff was really friendly. We recently had dinner here during our stay at Gengenbach. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. The overall experience was great! Only 3 tables with people outside and closing at 14:30. We were not allowed to sit as the waitress said they were already closed. When we were leaving, she started to note a table’s order. If possible, avoid this restaurant and don’t make plans to attend as they might not serve you. We arrived here by coincidence and it was a splendid surprise. We felt like in Italy, actually we felt in Puglia.
