Opens at 9am and always very busy. Cakes and bakes looked excellent. They only seem to bake white sourdough bread now although older photos seem to show a selection of different breads available. I couldn't access the website as it had a security alert so I've attached photos of the menu and the Reuben sarnie. I had the best breakfast here! I'm not keen on baked beans but here they are amazing!!! Along with the homemade Hash browns, quality bacon, black pudding and eggs and tasty Sausages and fresh Sourdough. So glad I decided to call in on my way back home. Will definitely visit again if I'm over that way. What a fantastic little cafe. The fact it was busy was a good sign. People were queuing for a seat. The food was amazing and decent portion sizes. Good value for money. If we ever return to the lakes we will definitely be back here. We came here with our two children for lunch, driving out of the way as I'd heard rave reviews. We queued in a very small entrance way for around 20 minutes for a table which wasn't great with a newborn and 5 year old but I understand it was a Saturday. We browsed the menu as we waited. Service was fine (we ordered on our phones and didn't wait long for food/drinks). I had the bang bang chicken and was very disappointed that it is served cold. I feel like this should be stated on the menu. I really didn't want a cold meal but had to eat as wed waited long enough for it. The chicken itself was cubed which I also found odd and didn't enjoy. My husband had the lamb hash and really enjoyed it. My 5 year old had chips as there are no options for kids. She also had a special hot chocolate which really wasn't very special especially for £6. It was all fine but would I visit again? No. It was a very forgettable lunch. Amazing food, lovely staff and gorgeous place for breakfast! We had the Turkish eggs and a haloumi sandwich and they were amazing! Coffees and cakes are mouthwatering good too. Best dirty chai I've had in a loooong time. They absolutely love dogs, they have dog beds you can borrow and homemade dog treats at the counter. 10/10 would recommend. Food is always incredible. Today we had a pork burrito and a club sandwich, plus a side of homemade hash browns and waffle fries. Portions are huge and our eyes probably too big for our bellies! Only downside is no bookings so get there early and be prepared to wait as this place is always busy. Service is friendly and efficient, didn’t have to wait long for food considering how busy it was. Great little place. Amazing food, nice atmosphere. We stopped here on our way back from camping and glad we did! I had the Turkish eggs and they were delicious.
