Highly recommended. I'm not massively into laurel and hardy but I did enjoy my . There's plenty of articles to read, and they play the duos throughout the day . I found Stan laurels old furniture and some of the original clothing quite intriguing. It's a bit of an odd setting but I found that was part of the attraction. Very interesting as a whole and a must for fans. This had been on the to-visit list for a while. Not sure why we waited so long to go but were really glad when we finally got around to it! The is small but is crammed with so much information, objects of interest and memorabilia that you can't help but be impressed. I went in not knowing much about Laurel and Hardy but the information boards were clear and easy to read and I learned a lot. You can stay as long as you want and we sat down for a bit to watch scenes from Laurel and Hardy that play continuously on a cinema screen in the main body of the museum. The member of staff was friendly and although there were a few other people in the there was more than enough room for everyone with no pressure to quickly move on from one bit to the next. The has toilets which were clean with plenty of paper and hand towels. The obligatory little shop was better stocked than I had anticipated with a good range of gifts to cater for everyone and their various wallet sizes. Even if you're not a big Laurel and Hardy fan this is a great little to and support. As a result of information from the we followed it up with a quick walk to Stan Laurel's place of birth which we wouldn't have considered otherwise. A little disappointed as expected something bigger an better, but it was interesting reading about their lives and looking round. You can sit and watch them on the screen. Really enjoyed it here so nice to see original things from there life watching the that played as we walked round all the ornaments etc and the little gift shop with a little cafe A great tribute to the comedy duo! Lots of things to see and there is a little cinema where you can watch the films. We had coffee and tea whilst watching them. Lots of photo opportunities too. The man who sold the tickets was very informative and made us feel welcome straight away. A lovely to visit, no matter what your age is. It was my first time visiting The Laurel and Hardy Museum, I was pleasantly surprised. There's a little cinema and a bar inside, so you can sit a have a drink while watching great clips of this two great comedians Absolutely brilliant! A real gem. My husband and I grew up watching the films, so we just had to come and see this place. Even our 15 yr old son was chuckling along with us while we watched some of the films. Well worth a visit! Absolutely loved it. Could have spent all day there just watching films! Took a walk to Stans birthplace after, just a few minutes walk away. 100% recommend it. Worth a visit, you can sit and watch the old classics as well If you love Laurel and Hardy it’s a must place to visit. Full of memorabilia and running throughout the day. So get a drink and settle down to hours of enjoyment. If you are a fan of the old Laurel & Hardy shows and movies then this is a must. Small cinema seating area to enjoy the constant rolling shows. Lots of history about the duo along with items and memorabilia. Stans upbringing in the town. Lots or art and photos. Bring a jumper or a coat as the atmosphere is cool to cold to help preserve the items I guess. Or it may be to stop the older visitors from staying all day to watch the full run of shows🤣 Absolutely fantastic for any afficionado of the great Stan Laurel and Oliver Norvell Hardy. Fantastic exhibits and items on display, playing Laurel and Hardy within the itself. Superb!
