I always buy something from there shop and donate in there fight to save lives in the most horrible and dangerous conditions. There's a video of This Is Your Life playing with Richard Evans (BEM) as the guest absolutely brilliant to sit and watch with a coffee me and the wife have seen it no end of times. There is also a bronze statue of Richard Evans (BEM) outside over looking the sea. Please don't think there's just a station here it also has some beautiful walks around the coastline. To all the crews of the rnli keep up the fantastic job you do. This is a great place to visit if you are on Anglesey. There's plenty of parking at RNLI visitor centre. And not expensive either. If you are visiting in the summer months, the weather and the lighting of the bay creates a great opportunity for artists and photographers alike. We have shared some photos to reflect this. It would be a real treat to see the launch for training, as the launch ramp from the house is extremely steep and long. Almost a roller coaster ride! There is a lot of history attached to the station itself. If you take the time to explore the wall on the starboard side (r/hand) you will find a plaque charting the activity and men who have bravely served here. The most famous being Richard Evans (January 19, 1905 - September 13, 2001), involved in 179 launches, saving 281 lives and one of only 5 men to be awarded the RNLI gold medal. This was a little gem of a find as the kids loved it and it was free of charge! There is a mini museum with lost of exhibits including the old lifeboat. You can walk over to the new station too. The staff were happy to chat and answer questions. There is a lovely gift shop which the kids also loved funnily enough! Staff was very frendly and helpfull. Products very good and affordable. The view behind the shop is amazing too. Can't wait be back there. Sadly, closed to the public at the moment, but the shop has now reopened across the way. Great place to visit, and they even have a contactless machine in the window of the station, so during these uncertain times, donations can still be made. It is set to a £2 donation. **21/2/22* Google maps has asked for an update, unfortunately, nothing to date has changed, hopefully, it wil not be to long before the boathouse welcomes visitors again.
