A medieval church (12th century), restored in the 19th century, nestled in a fabulous setting overlooking the bay, Snowdonia Mountains, and green meadows. It's a wonderful place to visit and take a photo, but also to listen to the surrounding silence and admire the beauty of the world. It's one of those places where you could visit endlessly. Access and parking are available from either the south (Church Street) or north (racetrack). Little Johnny's Journeys Morning over to St Cwyfan's Church: in Anglesey's and it's known for the Church in the Sea well worth the visit.It dates right back to the 12th century, although it is thought there has been some form of church here from at least the 7th century onwards. ⛪🫶 Awesome little cove. Difficult turning in a large motorhome though. Go with caution. Beautiful quite spot. As a member of 'Môn Walkers', I'm a regular visitor to Eglwys Cwyfan on many an Aberffraw circular walk. Today, I was so lucky to find the door open and a fabulous and knowledgeable chap working inside who let me look around and take a few pics ! What a rare opportunity to be able to discuss our many island chapels and churches... Diolch o Galon !!! On my bucket list and got there today. It was beautiful. And the sun was shining and the tides just right. Chapel locked. Parked at fisherman's car park near the racetrack. Took 20 min down. Not wheelchair or pushchair friendly once you get to beach. Collected some driftwood. Will visit again. Free to park A lovely to the church, loads of butterflies. When the sea is out you can to the church, we tool a picnic and sat in the grounds over looking the sea, beautiful day Lovely area, park up in the village and over the bridge and follow the coastal takes about 45 minutes but the views are stunning, look at tide times and go a couple of hours before low tide. Unfortunately the chapel was closed but it’s still well worth the views for the visit. Very old graves on The island Beachside Bliss: A Hidden Gem We had a wonderful time at this scenic, quiet beach.
