A unique Fabulous special place you have to pay to park by the beach, toilets and small cafe. Keep dogs on leads otherwise wildlife/birds gets disturbed. We need to take are of our special places 🙏 unfortunately nature is not being looked after and we are losing it 😔 Perfect for walking, great car park and a real bonus is a clean set of toilets which is essential if you are spending the day here. Would recommend and can’t wait to return. Great place for a day out, walk through the woods and then walk along a blue flag with Snowdonia in the background, car park was reasonably priced. Such a lovely day out. Ample parking, toilet facilities and disabled toilets too. Lovely trails for walking, biking and running through the forests! Takes a full afternoon to walk around the and up to the island, make sure you check tide times as it gets cut off from the mainland. This places it great! It has something for everyone. The labrinth of little paths/ trails can be walked, ran, hacked (think that's what it's called in the equine world 🤔, forgive me if I'm wrong 🙏) cycled (some really cool sections if you're whiling to explore) If you follow the fire roads from the free car parks between Newborough and Malltraeth it will take you all the way to the amazing at Llanddwyn which is just breath taking. It is a bit of a trek on foot, but you will not be disappointed. When you visit, please look after this beautiful place and please please take your rubbish with you! Favourite place, beautiful beach, lovely walk over to the island which can be done across the or via the forest, plenty of parking (pay on exit). Can be windy so do wrap up warm or take a jumper with you but come rain or shine its a lovely place to visit A lovely place with lots of parking, I only went to the sea and didn't go into the forest. Definitely walk to the lighthouse and cottages. Great for shell collecting the goes on for miles. If you have a blue badge you scan it on the way out and receive free parking. Lovely place best of both worlds and forest. Lots of different trails to choose from different ability levels. Dogs loved it. Managed to see a red squirrel but unfortunately wasn’t quick enough to photograph it. Definitely worth a visit and looking forward to revisiting as soon as I can.
