One of my favourite places on the planet. Good 2 mile to the reservoir, just keep going straight, quite steep in places but I'd say moderate ability. Accessible with ample parking. There's one bin in the car park in the church so please keep this in mind for any rubbish or dog poo. Last year there was so much dog poo but I didn't see any this time so that's fantastic. The area is so beautiful, dont spoil it! Magical, mystical and fills my heart with good vibes. Suitable for children and dogs. *July 2025 dog poo back with a vengance Loved it. A beautiful nature reserve to visit if you want to get away from the noise and traffic. Very peaceful place to and think your own thoughts. Lots of trees, a good and safe walkway. Variety of wildlife. Saw ducks, a sparrowhawk and a kite. Very near to a car park in Llangefri Town centre, so, not far to at all. Well worth a visit Free entry too! Lovely through mixed woods, beside the Afon Cefni. Always a high chance of seeing a red squirrel or 2. There is easy parking and miles of footpath/cycle path that also includes Cefni Reservoir where you will find lots of different wildfowl and stunning scenery. Went today. Parking nearby which u need to pay for. 2 hours was £1.50. along the boardwalk continue over the bridge and keep walking. Then you will come to a feeding station and you will see red and birds. Loved seeing the as never seen one in the wild before. Def worth a visit and I will return again. Shame most of the boardwalk was closed if it had been on the website we wouldn't have bothered going. We did a few miles but had no idea where we were going so turned back, still it's good to get out in nature, very beautiful place. Lovely through the forest and great to see red Lovely through the woods and spotted several red squirrels. Beautiful walk! Enjoyed the natural beauty of the woods and all the awesome carvings. Saw a red squirrel for the first time ever! Lovely to see. Found an old railroad which was beautiful and cool to see - access from the concrete path in places. Nice river with some small falls and places for the dogs to paddle. Parking was available right next to it with a cheap parking fee! 2 hours for £1.50. Mostly concrete paving and wooden bridges - good for the winter to avoid the mud! Visited for the red squirrels. I wasn't disappointed and came away with over 600 shots to sort through. Will be back. The locals are proud of their and helped me out as a visitor to find and photograph them. What an enchanting place!
