Did try the beer, so can comment, and suggest you try it - it was excellent, full bodied and flavourful with a seductive smoothness; and if that sounds pretentious, sorry, but try it before condemning me. Really lovely campsite with a pub and the welsh highland railway station on site . there is a river at the back of the site you can swim in . the staff in the pub are nice and helpful toilets and showers are really clean the camp is well maintained. there is a bus stop at the entrance that will take you in to caernarfon Nice staff a welcome stop for a cold pint on a hot day. Beers were nice and everyone was very friendly. Plenty of seating. Great place to eat, excellent food. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Hardworking young waiter. Great spot in the valley, busy, friendly & unpretentious atmosphere. Somewhat surprised to find we enjoyed more than the food & beer. Food was ok - quite straightforward average pub grub, but the beer was really disappointing. Given this is sold as a brew-pub the cask beer was dull & pretty uninteresting, with excessive use of sparklers. Very good food and friendly staff, portion control on food does not exist here, worth every penny 😀 Disappointing experience. I would only recommend coming here for a drink to sit in the garden on a warm day with the nice view, but if you’re going to order food keep your expectations low. The food is similar to Wetherspoons but 3 x the price. Average is £13-17 for the larger meals. It tasted like a microwave meal or a school hot dinner, very bland and unappealing Lovely place with excellent staff. Good beer too.
