Really nice food, friendly staff and a great location Absolutely amazing pub on the beach in the beautiful village of Moelfre. It’s an old fashioned proper food and drink pub. A great selection of Robinson’s ales are on tap along with ciders, wine, etc. Food is only served from 6pm to 8pm and you can’t make a booking. If you’re looking to eat on a Friday or Saturday I recommend getting there an hour early to claim your table. On to the food… it’s fantastic. Huge portions, freshly cooked and at a great price. Look at my photos to see what I mean. The gammon was incredible. A plate-filler but not too salty. I couldn’t finish it but my dogs were grateful. We ate there 2 nights during our stay and enjoyed both times immensely. The staff were superb. On the ball, great sense of humour and ever so efficient. A real credit to the pub. I simply do not have a bad word to say about this fantastic pub. If you’re in the area you’d be mad to miss it. Good pub with a view! Lovely hot food, we had the Chickpea and Spinach Curry which was very tasty although a little expensive 😋. Plenty of people sitting inside and out, lots with food. Would definitely recommended. Now a very popular watering-hole in the delightful coastal village of Moelfre. Great menu with lots of choice. Pub does not take bookings, so it's first come, first served. Sunday Lunch was very good - £15 was reasonable price for quality and amount. Kids Sunday lunch was value for money and stagg accommodated Gluten Free needs well. But.... Dining Room / Bar was combined which didn't lead to a very family friendly environment given the regular choice of language used by the patrons. Place could do with a good clean/dust too as wasn't the cleanest. Cracking view from our table though. Found this gem on a little hike. Lovely decor, outside and indoor seating. Lovely clean environment, toilets. Competitive pricing,waiting times appropriate for food cooked to order. Just lovely and I will definitely be recommending and visiting more often. Very nice pub, lovely setting right by the sea. Very busy so had to queue to get served. The food was really good, too much to eat, we were all very full. Would definitely go back. Beautiful views for dinner in this pub! Highly recommend the Fisherman's lunch - smoked mackerel pate, whitebait, prawns & crusty bread - enormous and delicious serving! The churros were hot and soft, covered in sweet cinnamon sugar and filling! My friends had the ice cream Sundays and they’re worth every penny.
