We had an absolutely delicious breakfast at the Store! Delicious flat whites to start followed by a bacon, egg and haggis roll (my new favourite!), a hash brown bowl and a mini breakfast - everything was fresh and delicious. The views out of the window were lovely as well. It's a lovely, small, quirky, family-run cafe. It has a real community feel, with a mixture of locals who appeared to be there to pass the time of day and have a chat and tourists. It's an excellent spot for a coffee or for food. We went for lunch and were very pleased with what we had. We would definitely call in again if we were in the area. 2 minutes of the main road / NC500… Don’t miss the chocolate & Guinness cake! Amazing beach just a few minutes walk… Great food. We loved the seafood platter and the signature burger. YumYummie. Decent portions for reasonable prices. The coffee americano was a big cup, I appreciate that too. The staff was very friendly, even suggesting that I wouldn't order too much, in order to be able to eat it all, such honesty is remarkable. Thumbs up. (We decided to order the meat roll to take away and eat it further down the road on our trip through Scotland). We sat outside with a lovely view as well. You feel the good vibes the moment you open the door. Friendly staff and fresh deserts, too. Wonderful stop, just off the NC500. Worth a small detour for such wonderful food. Great for travellers and locals alike. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast the next day. Stopped off for lunch today, fantastic quirky little cafe. We had a BLT and a seafood platter for one both were delicious. Would highly recommend a visit if in the area. What a find! Excellent coffee and brekkie. Would love to try everything on the menu if I could! Great value and charming decor So pleased I found this place for a spot of lunch. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Tea was good and my husband said the coffee was very good.... he's very picky with coffee. I got my husband to get a selection of cakes, and was surprised he picked a gluten free bakewell tart as its not usually something I would eat. However I was very surprised how good it was. The crust was thin and makes all the difference. It was actually really good, and nearly ate it all before taking a picture 😅 The other goodies will be enjoyed by us later. Strong takeaway boxes and wooden cutlery. Beautiful scenery... if I lived nearby I would be a regular. Beautiful little cafe found on our travels. The atmosphere is warm and cosy and had a super warm welcome on arrival. Food was a solid 12/10. We had the Scottish Laddie Burger and Straight To The Point. Burgers were big and cooked to perfection.. the meal portions are huge and just what we needed after our adventures. Dog friendly too which is a massive plus in our eyes. Will deffo recommend and hopefully make a return. We had excellent seafood platter and lobster. Lovely atmosphere and music as well. We'll come back tomorrow for the breakfast. From walking in through the door you instantly get a very warm and friendly welcome. The decor is very nice and the food was exceptional. It was a gem of a place and would highly recommend going if you are passing Bettyhill. Well done to all the staff and chef for a wonderful experience.
