Stunning! We stopped here on our long drive to Devon and what a good decision that was! The service was impeccable, the food was absolutely delicious and the setting was lovely. The Ashton Press cider was particularly good and the prawn baguette was fantastic. Do not miss this place if you are passing! What a super overnight stay my husband and I have just enjoyed. Breaking not route from the SW to London, we stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast. All were really excellent. The pub menu was a delight to read and, following large G&Ts with snacks, our food included some very tasty crab and lemon arancini, roast lamb (him) and succulent, perfectly cooked cod with asparagus (me) and the tastiest crunchy roasted pink for potatoes in the history of potato dishes! Do not miss those! A large cheese board to finish and a light pineapple and large pud for me. Super. Our room was spacious and so well equipped. Large walk in shower (bath too if you want), a huge comfy bed with soft cotton bedding and feather duvet (I think). A very nice night’s sleep. Fresh milk for (good) tea in the morning. Breakfast was great too, but I’m being hurried to leave! Thank you! Lovely pub with good. The scallops were a highlight! The room was very comfortable, with a giant bed, lovely toiletries and nice touches such as kettles and teas etc. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and made a special effort for my husband on his birthday :) Went here for my husband’s birthday celebration as per the recommendation of the owner of Withy Hut and we were so happy we took that advice! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The ambiance was very cosy and romantic, dogs were treated well too. The food was excellent, well season and amazing flavours. The highlight dishes for us were the parmesan chicken wings, duck breast and the chicken pie. Highly recommend this place, definitely worth the drive. Stayed over night in the cottage. Fabulous accommodation, extremely comfortable bed. We also had dinner in the restaurant, the mushroom parfait in particular was excellent. The level of service and care provided by the staff was exceptional. I would thoroughly recommend staying and dining at the Queens Arms. We'll be back for sure. What a brilliant gem in a beautiful part of the countryside! Highly recommend. There was an unfortunate issue with the boiler which impacted the heating in our room and the team couldn’t do enough to resolve it. It didn’t impact our stay at all and we’re very grateful for their help. The food was really top tier. A must stay and perfect if you have a dog!! The new configuration has greatly improved this lovely country pub which is well off the beaten track. Parking is a little challenging, although a charge point was welcome for EVs. We booked in advance and our table was taken but we sat at a better table so we weren't disappointed. Our waitress was lovely but a little preoccupied as the place was busy. Our meal was delicious. We had steak and fish and both were cooked to perfection. The side of bread and dip was a nice touch. You get what you pay for and although the prices are quite high it's well worth the value and a nice clientele. I booked a table for 16 people, all ordering from the Christmas Festive menu. The service was excellent, all courses were delivered en masse without any waiting around. The quality of the meals was excellent, all tasty and piping hot. The staff were professional and friendly and went out of their way to make our dining experience very enjoyable. We stayed late into the night and past their normal closing time but we felt no pressure to leave and were left alone to carry on our conversations. I highly recommend the Queen's Arms to anyone planning a group social. Me and my partner came here Saturday night and I must say our experience was wonderful. The food was and the young girl serving us was helpful and very smiley which is always good to see in young people! We had the fillet of beef and the pollock dishes, extremely tasty. Great little restaurant tucked away would highly recommend.
