The meal was nice, we didn't receive everything we ordered but didn't pay for it either. Limited choices for gluten free. Omelette is very nice freshly made. Toilets were disgusting, urine on the floor, no toilet seat, there was soap and fresh water. Please eat elsewhere. While we were seated, 2 different groups around us complained about the quality. If you're looking for good, Italian food eat somewhere else. Having said that; the staff were pretty friendly and the (simple) coffees were nice. AVOID this place at absolutely all cost! Pizza is frozen and to make things even worst ot was not well cooked! I would put zero stars if possible! Absolutely rude service! We sat down and ordered drinks, then played cards (burracco, an Italian favourite). The place was almost empty when we arrived, with only a few English touristseating unappealing hamburgers. In the middle of our drinks, the waiter asked us to leave, because 'other customers were staying away because we were playing cards and this is a restaurant ' even though over half the tables were still empty. They call themselves a cafe and advertise drinks, but apparently Italian culture isn't accepted. Avoid at all costs. This was the worse meal I have had in my two weeks of travelling. The staff were lovely, the gamberoni was disgusting. Even after I complained they were not fresh, the owner? recooked 2 of my 5 pieces? Recooking definitely didn't improve the age and condition of my meal. If I have an upset stomach tomorrow I will know who to focus on. I would not recommend this restaurant! Eat somewhere else. :) we went here to watch football under the European championship. Had risotto and pizza and both were far below average for Stresa. Location is amazing and not many other places to watch football but just eat somewhere else first. Absolutely mediocre. Food was tasteless, draft beer was close to water. . They kept asking us if we are finished like every 4-5 minutes. Go somewhere else Quality is questionable. Offered Paulaner beer but brought a different one of their choice without asking since Paulaner was out of stock (the normal thing is to ask). “Schweppes Tonic water” is not Schweppes, misleading. The Piña Colada didn’t taste like piña (pineapple) just alcohol. Sadly, we only checked the reviews after sitting down. The pizza was definitely frozen and the risotto made us feel sick afterwards. The drinks were okay tho. Location is great, but go to a better restaurant… This is a horrible place, the sprite tasted like water, the pizza was FROZEN! YES, Frozen in ITALY, i ordered a PIZZA SALAMI and i received a FROZEN Margherita (probably bought from store) that wasnt well baked, and i cant even say that the salami was OLDDD and had a redish crust, this was the worst place i have ever been in in WHOLE ITALY. And besides all this, they have tried to "tell me" that the pizza was not FROZEN with the argument that at the back of the menu there is the allergens, which has no sense. The pizza in the PICTURE in the MENU is a DREAM. This was the worst place i have ever been in, in whole ITALY.
