One of the Best Places To Visits in Abington Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. If you have read my reviews of previous campsites you will know, I don't enjoy giving bad reports, however, on this occasion I'm breaking all my rules. We booked this site some months ago. Hard standing with electric hook up. We were greeted by Fiona. The most unprofessional warden we have ever had the misfortune to deal with. She walked us to a grassed area.... not even a pitch and said that will have to do, as she had no hard standing left. We booked a hard standing months ago I exclaimed. Well that's your choice she said. After some protests she reluctantly said. Well you'll have to go on that hard standing pitch over there! It had personal belongings on it! As if someone was already on it. When I questioned this, she said, I don't think they will be back!!!! Honestly, I was dumbfounded. We had booked two pitches for both my brother in laws motorhome and mine. Thinking that this was totally inappropriate and concerned that the current occupiers of the pitch offered, would return, we asked for a refund which was promptly refused. It felt as if nothing mattered and she didn't care who she was rude to. She insulted my brother and sister in law. Saying they were stupid and accused her of wrong doing, which considering we had only just arrived, I found difficult to understand. In over 30 years of using campsites all over the UK, I have never been treated so badly. A chance conversation with some campers on the site established we were not alone, in being treated badly. We didn't stay! I lost £35 and we will certainly will not be returning. Avoid. You have been warned. The lady Agnes was really nice. The campsite is located in a good place for walking the hills. The facilities are good. A five minute walk away there is a small post office shop with some basic grocery items. (Be prepared for Midges in the evening...Smidge is good!) This is the cleanest and friendliest campsite I've ever been to!! Fiona is amazing. After having a very bad experience at another campsite, she got me settled in!! Tom and Alex, who stay there, help me as well!! The facilities were so clean!! Has everything you need!! Will be definitely going back!! Close to M74 and railway, nice scenery, local hotel and post office in walking distance, river Clyde close by but unsure of permit requirement for fishing, Biggar quite close and Peebles some 30 minutes away in car and accessible to Hamilton not too far North up M74. Mixture of static, hard and grass touring pitches, shower block being painted when we arrived so not sure about these although other ablutions were functional and clean, laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer tokens sold at reception, height restriction security gate deployed of an evening which is a practical yet simple measure. Usual facilities such as fresh water, grey water disposal, rubbish bins and chemical toilet elsan. Located in a beautiful small village. So peaceful and views are breathtaking 😍 Petrol station and other services are within 2miles. Motor way is just 3-5mins away. Lovely warm welcome upon arrival from Fiona and throughout our stay. Clean and spotless facilities. Site is beautiful with lovely flowers in bloom. Surrounding area of Abingdon Biggar lovely. Surrounding Thanks area was breathtaking. Would highly recommend and definitely return. Nothing to fault or dislike! Thanks Fiona!! A humungous thank you to Peter for repairing my partner's bike. We are cycling the length of the UK to fundraise for the MS society and we wouldn’t have been able to finish the journey without you. Thank you so much! Just spent 3 nights at mount view caravan park in Abington Biggar, fantastic place nice and peaceful with friendly hosts Fiona was very welcoming. I would recommend and definitely stay there again if I’m in the area Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
