The Apple Pie is a traditional bakery with a great selection of very good pies, pastries, filled rolls cakes and of course apple pie😀 Good selection of coffees and cold drinks. A great improvement is the addition of a cafe! Now you can enjoy the lovely food and drinks in comfort. There are a few seats outside which are popular with cyclists and motor cyclists when the weather is good enough. Staff are nice and friendly. Fantastic local bakers. Service was friendly. Chicken curry pie was the best I have had in Lanarkshire. My son said his steak and haggis pie was well above average. Also had a Viennese whirl which was very good. Highly recommend. Amazing food.. Superfriendly... Extremely competitive for prices too.. Highly highly recommend.. Would love some posted to Sudbury Suffolk. OMG !!! This place is amazing. The cakes selection is awesome. Everything is so fresh. You can see the team preparing batches of things as you order. The sandwiches were really good. I've also tried the soup here which is in my opinion one of the best I've ever had I just ate probably the best thing I have/will ever eat in my life here. The steak and mash pie is absolutely to die for! The ultimate comfort food. My husband tried their shortbread and said it was the best shortbread he’s ever had! I also tried the carrot cake and that was also incredible. The lady was so sweet and kind and told us what was in each pie which I really appreciated. If you haven’t been here, do not walk, RUN to the Apple pie!!! Dropped past while cycling northwards for some fuel. Absolutely lovely slice of carrot cake with a cuppa, very fair price, friendly service and chat. Definitely somewhere I would go to again. The Apple Pie is a wonderful bakery, cafe and shop. It is always a treat when I am passing through Carnwath. The food is excellent. No surprises that they seem to keep winning awards for it! The pies in particular are great - steak and black pudding being my favourite. Excellent service from friendly and pleasant young staff, very good prices and lovely food. The people of Carnwath are very lucky to have this fantastic wee place in their village. I had a very strange experience here on Sunday 11th May , having cycled over I came in for a coffee. I sat at a table as instructed on sign however I was completely ignored for 15 minutes , it wasn’t particularly busy I think 2 tables of 4 and a lady on a recumbent cycle , a young couple came in and looked at the menus and I could see they were trying to get staff attention also , I decided them to leave and as I was getting on bike the young couple left also as they had not been served and remarked to me they waited to long.
