The arcades are in poor condition and could desperately use a full renovation, as many of the machines are outdated, broken, or simply unused. I was particularly frustrated when the owner—an older gentleman—refused to let me sit on a large boat ride with my child, claiming it could break. This ruined the opportunity to make new memories with my son. The café is similarly rundown. Charging £8.50 for a portion of limp, overly hot chips is a total rip-off. The staff’s attitude doesn’t help either; they clearly aren’t invested in their work and seem indifferent to providing a positive experience. It seems the management could be using their resources more wisely—perhaps investing in updating the café, upgrading the arcade, or maintaining the facilities better overall. Instead, it appears they’ve prioritized spending on personal luxuries, like two brand-new BMWs, which is hard to justify given the state of the place. Overall, this location is a letdown. The beach is littered, with dog waste scattered everywhere, and the amusement center is badly in need of attention. If you’re looking for a better spot, I’d highly recommend Cocklawburn instead.
