A huge dog friendly with plenty of parking! If you walk down to the far end you can find fossils amongst the stone which is really exciting. Smooth sand and lots of places to set up for the day. Watch the tides though as they change a lot! Great for walking dogs, lots of space and free parking at one end. Toilets half way up the stairs were v clean! Recommend A quiet and dull day at the with the shops shut. Still, it is nice to avoid the crowds. My wife was pleased to see the Yorkshire flag flying from a flagpole in one of the nearby houses gardens. Missionary work she calls it - she is from Barnsley/ Skipton. Great for walking your dogs, strolling along the promenade for an evening walk, chilling on a warm day or watching the sun rise over the stretch of ocean. If you’re lucky you might even see the local sealife whilst you’re there! Seals, diving birds and even a pod of dolphins that like to appear every now and then! There is usually an ice cream van situated either end of the beach, with a play park for and seaside amusements where you can have fun in the arcade or purchase light food and snacks to keep you going! Stunning beach! Free parking on the sea front and some side streets, lovely with an array of food shops and ice cream stalls and vans spread out. Very peaceful and not too busy. Nice long for a nice walk or just to lake about on the sand and it also has somewhere to get a coffee/tea and icecream. There is also a park there for the including a water feature for to splash around in. My family live on the here so love it and intend to move here soon, I have 2 and love sea swimming. Could do with some kind of craft centre, community centre or art gallery with cafe here. Anyone considering opening one here? The high street is attractive and tree-lined. Beautiful views and coastline. Very clean, we only saw one heap of dog poop, the sand is very with only a small amount of seaweed. The waves are high enough to support surfing and it's kid and dog friendly, but be aware a lot of owners we saw had two or more and they were running freely off the leads. Our dog is always on the lead and so were many others. Nice enough beach. Very quiet and great for the to play on. Lots of people walking their as well. Very peaceful. Promenade very tidy but not much on it. Play at far side. For a quieter family afternoon out to the you couldn't wish for a better wee I e. quality family time.
