Just had a delightful meal here. Good food and drink and a nice atmosphere. Pub also overlooks Carew Castle, which is nice. We hadn't in advance, but the team were happy to accommodate the two of us and the dog. It's clearly a busy and popular pub though (always a good sign!), so I'd suggest checking or booking beforehand if you're travelling from distance. Location is and the were really friendly..unfortunately the food wasnt nice and tasteless for a Sunday roast probably one of the worst we have had. The food just tasted of nothing the roast potato (only a half of one on the plate) was full of oil. Just bland such a shame it's a spot and the are great, food was a let down we both left the food. This was a really place to find for food on a rainy chilly September evening. Each of the we encountered were cheery and polite and very efficient. We had a table downstairs as we had our dog with us and felt very at home and well looked after. The food was faultless; I had lamb rump and my husband ate the three bean chilli, both beautifully prepared and presented. The portion sizes were hearty, just what we wanted. The menu was interesting and varied and we're looking forward to returning to try more. We had a great visit to The Carew Inn. We hadn’t a table, but were welcomed in despite the pub being busy. The couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful and the locals were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was good and the dog was welcome too. I would definitely come again, thanks! Just come back after a 3 night stay with our dog. Food is gorgeous, with generous portions. are really friendly. Great breakfast to it sets you up for the day. Enjoyed a few drinks in the beer garden which was as the weather was kind to us. Furniture could do with a bit of tlc!! One thing I fancied on the menu was a prawn salad which was available lunchtime but not in the evening. I would like to give Jill a huge thank you, as we had this last night. Absolutely 😋, thank you chefs. I would also like to say how accommodating and Rufus is, quite a gent. Hope to come back ❤️. Diolch everyone x Fantastic meal, including a Gluten Free one for our daughter! Big portions, atmosphere and really welcoming staff. Thank you so much, we'll be back! Wonderful pub and restaurant. We were visiting the beautiful Pembrokeshire area and Sunday lunch there at the end of June 25. The lunch was outstanding (can honestly say it was the best pub Sunday lunch I have had for a long long time a) food was hot, beautifully cooked and everything you could want for a Sunday lunch. We were so impressed we for Tuesday evening and wasn’t disappointed either. The belly pork was beautifully cooked as was the rest of the meal and plenty of it. The profiteroles as to die for! We then again for the Friday evening and as one previous reviewer commented the Gammon is absolutely delicious, well cooked and a very very filling meal. What more can you ask for! I would recommend booking though as they do get up, particularly at the weekend (and I can see why!). A big shout out to the too, who were and professional and all with a high smile on their faces! Well done you guys, keep doing what you are doing, because it clearly works!
