The food was very nice, I had a lovely Beef & Stout pot pie and my partner had the Fish Pie. Absolutely gorgeous food.. Very friendly staff. Stunning sea view We only went for drink before dinner. It was cloudy and breezy, we sat on the terrace in the begging because we got the dog with us, then we moved to the bar area on the ground floor, because it was cold and started raining a bit. It seems a nice pub, I think it is the only one in the village. Really love the feeling people are having a pint by the waterfront outside of the pub. Not sure about the food, we will try next time. Park the car in the village car park, just 2 minutes walk away. The Griffin has a fabulous location. The small bar is really friendly and stuffed full of locals. Happy to chat, dingy captains, surfers and many others. The beers are really good some local options which were excellent. We were privileged to eat in the Griffin as well, which was divine . The views phenomenal out of the conservatory. The fish that we selected was excellent and served with the most delicious sauces. My only reservation is that an automatic 12 1/2% was added to what was already a rather expensive bill . There was no selection of the 12 1/2% though I was told I could remove it if I wanted to. It would’ve been awkward to remove it and I felt pressure to accept it. The waiting staff were very good and deserved a good tip but £28 tip is just a bit over the top to serve four people. Had Steak & Ale pie it was amazing, great hosts, friendly atmosphere. We called her on a rainy Saturday afternoon. My partner had the Beef and Stout pie which he enjoyed and I had the Fish pie which was a bit pricey at £28. I don't consider the fish pie was value for money at all. It was nice enough but really pricey for what you get. Ended up going here twice whilst on holiday and would have gone more if we discovered it earlier. Amazing fresh seafood cooked to perfection, had scallops, mussels and hake and all was very tasty and flavours amazing. My partner had steak and was great too, all freshly cooked. Owners and staff made you feel very welcome. Dog friendly in ground floor bar area or in terrace. Gorgeous outlook to add to it too. Would recommend to all. Fantastic all round, very accommodating of our baby too. Food brilliant and just cooked to perfection. Always a busy place with fab atmosphere and right on the picturesque Dale seafront. On the pricey side of average but 100% you get what you pay for, everything was top quality. Would recommend to anyone, seafood lover or not, well worth a trip if you’re visiting Pembrokeshire's coast.
