I went to this place a couple times during my stay in Staufen for a week. It was definitely one of the better places to get the seasonal glues in, and I tried some authentic German dishes, which really nice the service is very good in the ambiance very chill and relaxed Visit this place often and never get bored of their food! Everything is always 😋, try their Weinbergschnecke for appetizer! We loved the place. The food is very good, the service very friendly and they have a menu for children. We will come back for sure. Big portions and very reasonable price. The staff is very friendly! Schnitzel, spaetzle and salads are delicious! The terrace outside, right in the middle of the medieval village, in front of the old city hall, is beautifully positioned!! Just very romantic. The salad was fantastic. The service was 'cold', no real contact or question whether we liked the meal. A pity! The food was great, portions as well, yet the price is quite high (78 Euro for 2 persons: 2 Wiener Schnitzel, 2 salads, 2 draft beers and 0,25 cl wine). Staff were super inviting and the food was fantastic. We had a variety of dinners from Flamkuckhen, Steak, Pork and Veal Schnitzel, followed by some Ice cream sundies and Creme brulee. Fantastic. The atmosphere was only moved to a 4 as we were eating at 6.30pm on a Monday night in middle of February, so it was quite quiet. However, I have been here on other occasions and the atmosphere was excellent. Definitely worth a visit and have been several times now. My husband and I got the best meal here! I was obsessed with the chicken I ordered as it was seasoned so perfectly and was served with a delightful herb butter and heaping helping of fries. My husband got a very cheesy flamenkuchen and the waiter was so helpful making sure we had English translations for things and helping make sure I knew the allergens in each dish so I wouldn’t have a reaction. Wish we had gone here for dinner too rather than just lunch!
