Galashiels, United Kingdom Live music venue

One of the Best Places To Visits in Galashiels Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Cosy in old church. 2 bars, which only served cans - Guinness, cider, lager etc. Good sound and lighting. Cloud busting - Kate Bush tribute were excellent. I will return for other gigs. Recommended. A great little music in a lovely old church. Easy access, easy to find. Small but excellent sound. Holds about 300 ish. Small well stocked bar, fair prices & pleasent staff & attendees. Would be happy to go again. Wife enjoyed Bay City Rollers performance. Yes I sang along to music. What a great in this ex church. Seems mostly run by volunteers as community project. The was set out with tables and chairs and some more traditional seating. I saw Blue Rose Code and the whole experience was brilliant. Good bar inside the and nearby places for food and drink. A great little venue. Been twice more now and everything still as good 👍 Great and staff are very welcoming and helpful. As a disabled person they made it as easy as possible for me to attend the gig I wanted to go to and I'm already planning my next visit ☺️ Excellent wee venue Been a few times now and the latest trip was to see Moving Pictures, a Rush tribute. A must see for any Rush fans. A simply fantastic intimate live venue, with lights and sound that shame many larger venues. In a former church building, with an enthusiastic and friendly volunteer staff, I have travelled from the Midlands of England to gigs here twice now and have not been disappointed. Macarts is the best music in the Scottish Borders and possibly the world! Very laid back, a converted church , it is informal but yet attracts some big names. Showing both musicians, comedians and actors its also the for many local organisations events. The staff are very helpful and approachable. As a woman i have no concerns in attending a performance alone. You will always find someone to talk to or not however you feel. The is also physically accessible. Great with some fantastic tribute acts. Biggest bug bear however is the bar, four rounds of drink, exactly the same each time, four different prices, varying by £2 and all served by the same grey haired gentleman. Annoying that prices vary and on more than one occasion. Get it sorted!
