We recently held a wake for our father at the Kingsknowes Hotel and were deeply touched by the excellent service we received. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented and of the highest quality, served in the stunning conservatory which provided a warm and peaceful setting. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that we felt supported during a difficult time. Lovely place to stay - updated rooms but keeps the heritage feel. The grounds are beautiful and breakfast in the morning provided perfectly poached eggs! Some of the furniture/carpet is a little worn, but to be expected in an old house Really spacious and comfortable room, the view from my window was lovely! I slept really well! The shower was also great, it had good water pressure, there was even a bath! The building is absolutely stunning, a piece of history. I arrived on a pushbike which they happily stored in a garage for me overnight which is great as it’s right on the Coast and Castles route. Dinner was so good I had dessert as well which I don’t normally do. Breakfast was exceptional! Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall really happy with the experience and glad I stayed here on my last night of the trip!
