Road closure caused a delay when arriving, and team were very accommodating. Hadn't realised the garage was the reception for the hotel. We had to spend a painfully miserable night here under inhumane conditions. The room was filled with a damp, mouldy smell, and the heating was simply turned off for the night. The whole experience was completely unacceptable — something like this should not happen in 2025. The “hospitality” resulted in a severe cold and the need for active medication. My friend and I stayed here recently during our bikepacking trip across Devon. The room was clean and nicely presented, with thoughtful touches like coffee and tea provided, as well as toiletries included in the bathroom. After a long day of cycling, it was such a relief to have a comfortable space to relax in. We also appreciated the secure space they had for storing our bikes overnight – it gave us real peace of mind. Overall, it is a great place to stay, close to a nice pub and a good value for money.
