It's OK. Had the Cod and and a pepperoni pizza. The cod was pretty good, batter was just crispy enough, but a little soggy in places. The were a bit of a let down, not very tasty, not crispy at all, maybe just not a for potatoes? The was ok, the base was but wasn't too keen on the pepperoni. Overall, it was ok, and I guess when there is little else to choose from you have to expect it. Very modern shop selling everything from to , icereams plus bottles of beer and cider -cooking everything fresh - when we where there anyway . We had , cheesy and and 2x fizzy pop for £31 - in my opinion way to expensive but nothings cheap anymore . Pizza- very nice Cheesy - rip off Fidget and - nice £3 x2 cans pop - daylight robbery I had the hake and and the portion of the was massive. Easily enough for 2 people. The was (first trying hake) it was fisher in taste than cod or haddock but still very nice. No skin or bones too. Would highly recommend. A solid and restaurant - staff were great and professional even though we were there at an exceptionally busy when they were understaffed they handled everything professionally and politely. Managing expectations when things sold out and generally doing a job. Being able to order online and via a screen on arrival is handy and the menu has a diverse range of options. The food itself was standard and fare. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect, not the best and not the worst. Though the milkshake options looked very good. This said the churros were a bit of a stand-out! food friendly efficient staff would recommend and veggie burger for mom and me, liked the veggie burgers a lot! for our dogs as a treat. Not bad but expensive as not as tasty as at home. Love Charmouth though! What can I say, the food quality was really good, hot fresh and delicious. It opened at 5 and the queue was out the door, due to this there was a of about 40 mins. Despite this, food is worth the and this certainly hit that. Was about £70 for 2 adults, 2 teenagers on adult meals and one child. We did get 2 bottles of cider for us grown ups so I think was on the higher end but again quality was worth it. Delicious on sourdough base, I had 12" Dorset heatwave, with plenty leftover for the fridge! Ordered online and was ready within the collection slot. Friendly service. was one of the worst i have ever had, had a Margarita, 1/2 of it was crust, bottom was soggy and it was essentially just tinned tomatoes thrown on a base with cheese. Chips were okay however, just don’t eat from a there. Not the place (Plaice?) if you are hungry. I ordered small and "jumbo" chicken nuggets plus curry sauce. The serving is tiny and nothing jumbo or even about the nuggets. I didn't realise how small until I got back to camp. The food was very well cooked and tasted great, not greasy and was great. Portions left a lot to be desired, especially at around £11, Mini head torch for sizing! Went here twice once on Saturday when we arrived and again on the Friday for our last night. It is a busy shop with quite a big menu we had about a 30 minute on Saturday and 20 minute on Friday nothing I would consider excessive considering how busy the place is. I with various members of my family have been coming here for 20 years the place has changed habit over the years but the food is constantly Me and my family were on holiday a fortnight ago and visiting Charmouth for the day. We’d had lunch at Charmouth Bar years ago and was pleased that it was still there to eat at. It wasn’t a busy day, so we were able to sit outside on the benches and eat in a nice, quiet peaceful neighbourhood. Charmouth Bar is a small takeaway with little space to dine in, but the staff were very hardworking, professional and friendly, and the establishment was very clean & hygienic. The was excellent, and the food was fabulous as I remember it being. My & were cooked beautifully. Not in the least bit greasy, nicely crisp batter and great taste, with lovely gravy on the side. We were all very happy with our food and will gladly come again next we visit Charmouth. Thank you very much! Highly recommended! Great food but there is a wait. They do say order online to avoid wait. The only shop I've seen with McDonald's style touch screen ordering system. We 30mins. But I know other people sitting there waited 40 mins and I think they only wanted desert. Couldn't fault the food though but I did have to ask them for my burger because it was not with order. They did offer free drink because of and another for forgetting burger. Amazing polite cheerful service, very very clean and shop..... It's spotless! Food cooked perfectly. Quick and food was cooked to order. Prices are keen. We have been to charmouth bar a few times for an easy dinner and it was always fairly good. But tonight we we left a little disappointed. First issue, no pizzas. Not sure why but not available. So had to have something else. Went for the veggie battered sausage and a veggie jumbo hotdog with chips. The seemed somehow stale and dry, the battered sausage was missing the majority of it's batter. As for the jumbo hotdog. It was neither. 2 charred veggie sausages with a few equally charred onions in a dry albeit jumbo roll. Ultimately left disappointed. Not sure what happened, maybe they were having a bad day, or just taking advantage of the trapped audience. Felt a bit ripped off as I ordered a chip's and it clearly was a smaller medium size, as normally a will do my family. The sausages were very crispy, the was I will say that. Over all around £24 spent and didn't feel it was value for money. Lush batter on meaty cod, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum. They were very busy so was slightly slow but really pretty considering. We paid £14.40 for the extra cod and between two of us - the photo is half of that. Absolutely stuffed now, was a hearty feed. Their click and collect was really efficient too, especially with them being so busy. We tried this chippy for the first and really sorry to say was disappointed, we had 2 pieces of haddock & 1 cod , 1 haddock was superb the other was off the smell was awful !! The were rock hard and were not freshly cooked not fresh , also they missed something of order which to be honest I should have checked as ordered on line and handed a bag , I went back to to shop, showed the haddock & and staff agreed that was not good, to be honest the staff that served me were so polite and loveley ,but the manager though made excuses , said he had some some haddock out of the same box at lunchtime ( box ? ) ! Also hee questioned if it was haddock but staff confirmed on my order , maybee it was a one off but please be careful that your is fresh and are not / stale and hard will leave it there !!!! Heard things about this chippy and we weren’t disappointed when we visited this last week lovely chunky cod with batter crispy and well cooked with a slight crunch on the outside and reasonably priced well done Martin ✂️✂️ Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
