There is no actual human answering the phones. A disabled family member needed to call and there are just endless menus within menus on the phone line. Where is the accessibility policy ? Encountered a road closure late at night with absolutely no diversion signs. Spent over 15 minutes trying different routes, only to end up stuck with no viable way to reach my destination. In the end, I had to use a bus gate to get there. I contacted the about it but their response was not acceptable. They told me it was my responsibility to figure it out, despite me being a non-local with zero knowledge of the area. They even said it was very reasonable to expect me to take a 20 minutes detour at 9:30pm to my destination that is 0.5 miles away. How on earth was I supposed to know about this "reasonable" detour without any signs? Completely unacceptable, poor planning, no guidance, and zero consideration for visitors. Parked in Berwick-upon-Tweed for a wedding in June. Displayed a blue badge and yet still got a PNC even though the groom's father was parked in front of me (displaying a blue badge) and didn't receive a ticket. Appealed but just learnt that it has failed so now have to pay £35 fine. Another case of a money making Council. 😡😡 ZERO SAFEGUARDING POLICY !!!!! I wish I could give - 100 They have moved known drug dealers and takers into a community of 80 and 90 year old widowed ladies, all in ill health, living their twilight years in Blyth Northumberland. Who ever made this decision should be held accountable and sacked. He or she spared zero thought for these terrified pensioners. Reported for almost 2 years and they only sprung into action when the local Reform candidate got involved. Utter disgrace 😡 This is lovely Northumberland county 2 years of no loft repair water leaking in damaging loft beams DANGEROUS CONDITION mould you’ve got to sort your self but they house the legal ones that come over seas with fresh homes new builds carpets the lot they get our hotels that’s public funded we can’t even book a hotel and things you name it spoke to there own workers that’s been to these houses and there living better then Them there selfs he said just goes to show why we don’t get repairs done all of our housing rent money goes on the legal more then it does with US BRITISH CITIZENS lack of funds for there own witch is shocking really shocking Appalling with terrible customer service. tax is absolutely daylight robbery and I have to pay another fee on top of this and the roads on my estate are 'unadopted' by the council- yet I can't get a discount for this. They often fail at picking the bins up due to 'breakdowns' (like 6 times in the last 6 months) and didn't even bother to reply when I queried this and now I've got parking fine for stopping to assist a man who had fallen over in the street. Absolutely terrible avoid at all costs Honestly 1 star is a push, scamming people on their tax is absolutely disgraceful. £312 a month for a band B tax... In what world ?!? I didn't let my tax go through this month as it had gone from £150 to over £200, it is only suppose to go up 5%, so literally unlawful and now I have a letter saying it's £312 a month... Disgraceful 4 months to get an email reply from the housing department when you are trying to sell your home and require said email to do so is utterly disguising. Then another 3 months (and counting, as I still have had no reply despite numerous attempts to contact by both email and phone) regarding a tax amendment is pathetic. By far the most incompetent I've ever had to deal with.
