Had a nice up to coast watch station. Chatted to warden who pointed out local coast line and described what they do. Amazing volunteers watch out for walkers, boaties and swimmers along the coast. There are no toilets or cafe at the top but an amazing view. Well worth the up from Boscastle harbour. Wear sturdy shoes and wrap up suitably. The views are stunning and you can begin a beautiful coastal towards Tintagel. Spectacular coastline and a wide variety of scenes and places to explore. Visited during the remnants of Storm Amy, although she had a sting in her tail, with gusts upto f8 from the NW - NNW. Nevertheless, I ventured through Willapark too the top of the cliff where the Boscastle NCI watch station proudly sits. And it was well worth it, the view from up there is stunning, showing the heavy swell and very rough sea in all its glory. The watchkeepers on duty were friendly and professional and certainly knew their stuff and their local area. It was a delight to meet them and made the hike up well worth it. If you're in the area make it your business to give them a visit, not to forget a donation, remember all NCI watchkeepers are volunteers and receive absolutely no payment... thank you for your service chaps 👏👏👏 Been to visit Boscastle many, many times in my life and it gets better with each visit. Fantastic short up to the watch station with amazing views of the coastline. On glorious days like the day we went, the colour of the sea is amazing and people are jumping into the sea and paddle boarding. Careful when parking; lots of people were parking illegally and getting tickets. Absolutely stunning views up here especially at sunset. Well worth a up from Boscastle harbour. Alternatively you can from the churchyard across the fields here. Would highly recommend a visit whilst in Boscastle. Will definitely be coming up here again. The Boscastle Coastwatch Station was unmanned in the evening but that wasn't a problem as you have a wonderful view of the sea from there at sunset, fantastic. Nice viewpoint around the entrance to Boscastle. Intersting volunteer based organisation supporting other coastal safety services. The up to the look out building is a short up hill from Boscastle, reachable initially via the road passing through Boscastle and then an off road path or directly via the path towards the end of the harbour on the south side. Un luogo magnifico Fantastic views on a clear day. About 30 min from Biscastle Town on a good path with some steps on the first part. Definetrecommend if staying in Boscastle. I would have stayed all day just enjoying the view! Nice chat to the volunteer Watchman, and a go with the high powered binos to spy on a cruise ship on the horizon. The guard at the time, John, was really nice to me and my wife by informing us of the purpose of the station. John genuinely made our hike up worthwhile Magnificent place and easy with any abilities. Made the hike up today. Had vertigo since a popped eardrum a few years ago but soon had to get over that. The guy in the Coastguard station was brilliant. My friend from Yorkshire was visiting asking lots of questions. Top bloke 👍 A beautiful and peaceful coastal village where you have access to many coastal walks and up to the white tower where you get stunning views inland as well as out to sea. Make sure the winds are inland before trekking up the hill though. Boscastle itself has a great variety of shops and eateries which cater for gluten free (the gluten free pasties are delicious!) As well as the witchcraft museum, local pottery, and national trust shops. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful place!
