If any criticism it would be to make the portions smaller or offer a smaller version. Definitely highly recommend. The pub was busy, all local people in their local pub. Yes I liked this place. I stayed overnight in my motorhome, in the large car park. No pressure to buy food, I had drinks and did have their pub food. A couple of games of pool Well worth a stay. Just had Sunday lunch which was very tasty and reasonably priced - we had a warm welcome from the staff and thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend... There were quite a few people in the bar and pool table area which gave the place a atmosphere, sadly we were the only diners in the restaurant area but the noise from the bar made it feel like we were in the same room. This is a pub we like, simple but done to the highest quality, and you could see with the staff they cared for it so much, they were never still if not serving they were cleaning. The menu is what I call pub grub, a real treat for the eyes that poncy grilled lettuce leaves with some jus, this was proper food at a proper price too. I hadn't had scampi for a long while so I knew what I was having immediately the wife and kids chose from as a say a great simple menu, but done so well. Why complicate things? Do food well and that's just what they do. Desserts hit the spot too. The place was really clean, especially the toilets, and we signed to where they are. This was a great find and will definitely be back when we are in Cornwall again We didn't stay here but we had a meal and it was very nice well cooked thank you Very food at extremely reasonable prices! Cruzcampo was really Half term holiday, stopped here for a break at 12.30 as it's on a main holiday route and it only opens from 4.30pm...patronise your local business my arse!
